Could this be real? Would it be major breakthrough in science?

I literally freaking leaned forward after clicking the link, and then saw 'microscopic life in atmosphere' and then leaned back.

Thats your great great great great great great.......... Grandfather's kid your talking about!
Whereas this thing is amazing (If true), this really shouldnt come as a surprise. Only thing thats actually rejecting the idea of life (I did not say intelligent life) is religion, which evidedently but not without a struggle has resulted in common thoughts being changed before.(Earth cube, anyone?)
Given the timeline we're on, theres probably a infinite amount of such things. If life can originate(Be it on earth or somewhere else), then the same stuff can happen elsewhere too.

There are various extremphile bacteria that survive inside hearts crusts in rocks without any oxygen under immense heat.
Just take a couple and throw them in space. I don't see why they should not be able to survive there. Only thing they need is a mineral metal in the rocks to feed on. And metal cores are common in asteroids aren't they.
So yeah :p

They found the queen didn't they?

What will we exactly get from intelligent life form.It will take millions and billions of years for a bacteria to evolve.
