Title: Halp halp!
Post by: Mikal on October 01, 2013, 08:14:09 pm
Every game I go on minimizes after about 60 seconds, I maximize it again and it will continue repeating, even my internet browser kind of, stops, the browser doesn't minimize but I have to click the screen to continue typing or scrolling through stuff, I've scanned my PC with WIS, Advanced System Care, AVG, all come up clean, I did a system restore to an earlier date and it continues to happen, anyone know what this is? Would appreciate the help, thanks.

Fixed it, found some file called Wermgr.exe popping up in processes shortly after the error occured, Wermgr.exe is just for error reporting so meh, I just disabled it. :)

Bad thing to do... error reporters don't just pop up for no reason, something's wrong with your PC. Enable it again, start a game, wait for it to minimize then open Events Log to see what's going on.

I have never seen any positive influence of those error reporting systems on Windows.

I thought the same, till I ignored an error that caused stuttering (not freezing) in games and eventually had to re-install Windows.

It isn't meant to give you a solution. It sends the crash data to Microsoft developers so they can fix any issues caused by their own software.

As the issue is resolved, the topic will be locked.
