Title: How to run two d3d9.dll files with SAMP
Post by: Kewlizm on October 05, 2013, 03:14:56 pm
I have had a modified d3d9.dll file for getting gta sa windowed, and it has worked fine until now. Today I decided to install new ENB settings. But since ENB runs with the d3d9.dll, I needed to tweak the enbseries.ini a little, I changed the name of the windowed mode d3d9.dll to d3d9Window.dll, then in the enbseries.ini, I changed EnableProxyLibrary to 1 and ProxyLibrary to d3d9Window.dll. These settings work with singleplayer without problems, but not with SAMP. Whenever I join Argo (or any other server), the loading bar appears and it loads until the end, then an error message pops up and SAMP closes. I have tried to remove my little tweaks from the enbseries.ini so that it will not run the windowed mode .dll, and it worked. Then again I tried to play without custom ENB settings and only with the windowed .dll, it worked too. But it seems like the two .dll files wont cooperate with SAMP. Any suggestions?

Additional info: I need the windowed mode because the game minimizes every minute if its fullscreen.

You dont need a custom .dll file to run SA:MP in windowed mode. After you have loaded SA:MP and connected to the server, simply press 'alt + enter' and it will be windowed.

Thanks Zaila! This just saved my day! I have tried this in SP but for some reason it didnt work :( But it seems to work in SAMP! Thanks! ;)

That is because the Alt+Enter combination is only set up to work in SA:MP itself.
