that one shows removed to? Try placing it in a quote with just the URL...
This story reminds me of that one guy who tried to steal a car but had to get back out because he couldn't drive with a manual transmission.
Edit:

Brazil is not a safe country to host 2014 WC in my opinion, especially for foreigners, it can be very hostile. Then again South Africa is not really the example of a safe country as well :D

''The robber, identified as Escarante Leonardo Santos, was taken to a nearby hospital to undergo surgery to remove the bullets, according to G1 Globo.
“Preliminary analysis of the video suggests that police action [taken] was legitimate and correct, observing the methods. At [the 59-second mark] it is possible to see the assailant pointing his weapon at the police officer,†said Sao Paulo military police in a translated statement, according to Folha De Sao Paulo.''

The officer in question was simply taken through a "psychological reassessment of sorts" program that is assigned to officers who use deadly force in a situation. He was not suspended or anything.

The problems with hosting the Cup in Brazil are more related to organization than safety. Safety's more-or-less acceptable (not as messed up as South Africa), the problem is that the average tourist comes to Brazil and goes on a spree of things which should never be done, such as walking alone in an empty street at night, walking around with jewelry/expensive things, etc. It is possible to have an acceptably safe stay in the country, but you can't behave like you would as a tourist in Germany, for example. Brazil is a worthwhile choice for tourism, it's just not where you would want to settle down.

It looks like people think South Africa is full of lions and thieves. :app:
