So, basically the tittle explains it all, I bought me a used Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V yesterday, and it came with Gingerbeard (2.3.4).. I successfully flashed IceCream Sandwich on it, rooted it.. unlocked bootloader.. then I flashed CarbonRom and light gapps to it, through the original way.. CWM> Wipe data etc.. but I had forgot to wipe the Dalvik data from Advanced CWM 5 options... it resulted in a semi-brick (it would boot up to 'Sony' and make nothing..) though I'm quite sure I did everything besides wiping dalvik cache/data(?).. fixed it by re-flashing stock ICS on it, buuut my question is; Has anyone of you ever flashed a Neo V before? Is there a ROM I should trust?
the only times I did the whole procedure was last year with my old Samsung Universe S1 (GT-I900) as if it was too easy to flash CyanongenMod 10.1 on it, and couple of months ago on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, where I also flashed a version of MiniCM10.1... other than that, going back to Android-Touch phone from Sony Ericsson Elm was a big change.. I'm loving the phone already but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with the mods.. ;/ I'll re-root ICS later, but what I aim is at least a JellyBean or even newer Rom..

I am quite an expert on 2011 Xperia series, been modifying and working with them for 2 years.
I currently own a Xperia Arc S, running Xperia Ultimate HD 5.0.1 (not sure if it is available for you), working great so far.
Now, Carbon ROM is a Jelly Bean based ROM. This also requires that you use JB compatible kernel. Did you flash the kernel via fastboot, which was included within the .zip file?

It is;

But I don't really see a reason to use it, I'm not an HD Looking fan, I just want something looking nice and preferably new like JB I was saying... but yea, most likely I completely forgot to flash kernel it seems, most likely why it wouldn't even boot.. for few mins I had freaked out, but then I realized that I was using volume down instead of back>USB plug, then I was alright :P
So, can you suggest me any good ROM-Kernel? I don't really have anything in mind yet..

It is not actually HD, it is just a name for the ROM :D. I like how it is built up, the performance is better than any other ICS ROM I have seen so far.
I am not fully aware of the status on Neo V development regarding all those ROMs and kernels, so unfortunately I can not recommend you one (I can for Xperia Arc though :P)
Personal experience has shown, that the status of LegacyXperia CM10.1 and CM10.2 has been quite good (Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and 4.3 respectively), they are good enough for daily use. Since 720p recording is missing from these, I had to move on to another one.
Also, you said you had unlocked bootloader. Unlocked bootloader is only necessary if you wish to install custom kernel as well. Might as well install the kernel and then the Carbon ROM.
So, first, tell me, what features are important for you and how do you use your phone? I will review some ROMs in the Neo V development section and then post a reply, which could fit you. Keep in mind, in the end, you have to decide, which one. Best choice can only be found out by testing yourself :)

Basically what I want it; Something like JB with KitKat look or even JB looking ROM.. a good kernel which will allow me to keep up with a bit OC.. from stock 1Ghz at least 1,2-1,4 Ghz.. because I just use the phone to kill my time, and that means games! on stock ICS I almost hit 5k on AnTuTu, whilst there are some other Neo V's that can hit even 8k reaching near the G@laxy S2 10K Marks... I wish there was CM10.1 for Neo V, but there's only CM9.. >.>
Earlier today, I had a bit of lag? Not sure on how to call it.. the touch screen was out of order, it kept touching things that I hadn't and everything was like on speedmode x2... this used to happen on my X8's MiniCM10.1 when I did OC the CPU, but I don't get how it happened on stock ICS.. >.>
Edit: Successfully flashed to "[Neo/V][4.2.2] moPROJECT42 V8 STABLE | MOD | LIGHTER | BEST BATTERY LIFE [2013-10-10]"
Seems the way I was doing the whole procedure was wrong due I was skipping kernel haha.
Flashed kernel, CWM Wipes of everything necessary, installation of ROM, moPROJECT42 and gapps lite, phone up and running :D will post results soon once I see if it's stable and good to my needs! :)
Edit2: Best ROM I ever tried... the most stable and fastest I ever seen of this Neo V, running stable at 1,4 Ghz - Performance... just being epic! I'll try AnTuTu in a bit!

Great to hear that. By the way, Neo V does have CM10.1 and CM10.2 available. Not official, but they work great for daily use. I have used both, they worked fine at that moment. Now, updates have been made, project is still alive (updates every 1-2 weeks). Website: http://legacyxperia.github.io/
For games, JB might work good, though Gingerbread is the best for games, unfortunately you lose quite a lot of UI possibilities then. ICS just fails with games.
Stock ICS released by SE is pure crap. Starts lagging easily and has many other issues (LED notifications do not work properly, 2g/3g setting bug on restart, memory management just fails (especially after hours of usage)).

Basically this rom is based on CM10.1 so I'm fine with that, the only issue I have is that Play Store refuses to connect to the internet, Wi-Fi works perfectly, so do all the rest applications but Play Store just fails. I used "Superlite GAPPS v4", is there anything I can do about that? It's boring to install applications through Flashtool :(.

Odd, Play Store should work fine, though I have no experience with that package. You could try clearing data of Play Store.

Good idea, didn't think of that.. Flashed Dark Kernel earlier today, was running at 1,8 Ghz stable but had issues with WiFi and some stuff, re-flashed the nightly rom one, back to normal.. I'll try that in a bit, and I'll post later if it worked or not..
1,8 Ghz, gave me 6800 on AnTuTu btw :D

Every kernel requires specific WiFi modules, which are either built-in the kernel (2nd reboot fixes the modules) or posted in the same kernel topic (flashed via recovery).
Also, 1,8 GHz is a little too much for 1GHz CPU. Don't melt your processor! :D

well I only use it on 1,8 Ghz when I want gaming mode, fixed both WiFi and Play Store by re flashing everything... :D aka case solved :P
GTA 3 runs great too ^
