Dunno if it's a good idea as we can already call them with /call 911 [ The text is displayed as an emergency ] but, I don't know how much do they pay attention to it.
Maybe it would be good if they had a calls just for them. ;p
Also I would like to add that it would be good that /call firefighters has /call firefighters text
So that we can write some little info about our situation like for /call 911.. i.e. /call firefighters I am in a flipped car at Outlook
And one more thing, that /call taxi, does it have to be visible to all? Can you somehow limit it only to taxi rank?
btw that command from above with text could be applied to /call taxi too.. so that we can actually write our location so that taximan doesn't need to search for us on the map or contact us via pm :P

Great idea indeed !!! :app: :jackson:

anyway, it could be even /call fd
as, fire department :p

Well, I do not support this type of thing, since when there is a fire, some police or medics may want to join to that event and can lead it to a roleplay. [Just like some cops surround and block the City Hall's Road etc]
but, I don't know how much do they pay attention to it.
Maybe it would be good if they had a calls just for them. ;p
Well, Im sure firefighters show exactly the same attention to calls just like cops do. :pissed:

I am speaking about.. for example, I would call firefighters to flip my car or to unstuck me.. and then I would give them a bit of money :P
As for the roleplaying part, firefighters can always write on /e like the medics.. and ask if there is some kind of action in progress (:

This still doesnt explain why there has to be a specific command for /fd :P

Unrelated to my opinions on this idea that I will not voice, "firefighter" is the correct terminology, not "fireman". Women work in firefighting too.

Lets first see if it will be accepted, then we can think about command

Just on a sidenote I noticed an inconsistency between the title and the topic.
/call firefighters and few other things ;p
You only mention one thing beside the /call firefighters command. How dare you disappoint me like that man, that makes me sad :(
About the command, we could implement the European system where firefighters medics and police all have different numbers, here it is 112 113 and 110 respectively, but you make it visible to all the emergency services so that in case of, for example, a shootout, both paramedics and police can respond.

There is no way to make an automated system that intelligently predicts that and gets it right every time. :P

Mihail as I told you in game I can't see a reason for this not being accepted, should be in game any time soon.

Armelin, to answer your questions about not understanding the terminology: http://arfd.argonathrpg.com/forum/index.php?topic=958.0

I totally support this. :bananarock:
