Hey , I myself don't like Windows 8 , it seem to be a good PC but by " graphics" you mean graphic card , right ?
If yes then it is a good PC .

Don't get Windows 8, it's more shit than Internet Explorer.

It all depends on your personal preference, Windows 8 is faster than Windows 7 and I personally was against Windows 8 until I started using it, now I don't want to go back to 7.

For the short amount of time I used Windows 8, I liked it.. I'd recommend that, rather than 7.

Don't use windows 8, that's completely retard lol. Prefer to use windows 7 for play game. Windows 8 more complicated I think.

Windows 8 is barely more complex than Windows 7 if you logically think about it, it also has numerous advantages over Windows 7 such as the new kernel and more customizability along with easy to use features.
Last but not least it is faster than Windows 7 overall.

"Windows 8 is crap, use 7 instead" I can remember devoted XP/Vista Users saying something very similar about Windows 7.

Windows 8(.1) is a better O/S under the hood so to speak than Windows 7. Metro/Modern UI is a pain in the butt at first, after you get used to it it'll seem a minor issue in view of the benefits of the new O/S.

Vista? Not that I know...

Andeey; the set up looks alright, but what are you paying for it? Perhaps you can get better for less ;)

There is always at least one or two hipsters in every group who claims to have liked Vista over XP, heavy users of Bath Salts no doubt.

@Andeey I can't imagine you getting it for a better price than $1250, I assume you're buying retail?

In the year 2012 this would have been a great price with a great feature set.

CPU- Good!
Ram - Look for 16GB or more for the price you're paying
GPU - Good!
HDD - SSD or nothing for the price you're paying.
OS - Good!

I don't see a need for more than 8gb of ram on a laptop for gaming purposes let alone 16gb unless you are planning on doing video rendering or other memory intensive tasks.

Excellent! Go for it!

Windows 8.1 is now out and its the smoothest OS out there, don't care about these people moaning just because they can't purchase a legit copy of Windows 8.

RAM is good since even COD Ghosts require AT LEAST 6GB of RAM to play. And if you want to multi task, install things like Rainmeter you do need more RAM. Its 2013 after all.

Even my year old laptop has 8GB of RAM, 3630QM, GT650M 2GB, 1TB HDD with Windows 8 and HD+ display, runs everything perfectly. :p

Try looking for a 4th gen i7 for much better battery backup. And a GTX700 series if your budget allows.

P.S. In the future you can easily replace HDD and increase RAM , so focus more on GPU and CPU as they cannot be upgraded. ;)

A tad late, not sure if you have bought already, but if you didn't yet, go for it. Decent laptop for a decent price.

He doesn't need more than 6GB unless he's going to edit video's and render them or something. SSD isn't very necessary either.
