Title: Max Health points decreased by 30-50%
Post by: BojanS on November 27, 2013, 06:55:49 pm
Hello dear community! I had a lot of thinking about dying in Liberty City.
What if ( of course if supported by You and script ) health points could be, let's say minimal. I think that this default system, even without body armor is too ''GOD MODE''. It would be awesome if 1-3 good shotgun blows would knock target for good. Already people in vehicles can not be hurt, and it's pretty hard to hit people. Doing that ''lag shooting'' also really makes no sense.
I don't like when I survive fall from building for an example. :uhm: It's just stupid.
Just think, it would be really more real, and people would be more careful.

I hope you re aware that killing someone with 1 shotgun bullet is possible.  :gand:

Even if its possible, for now in t3, I dont think it should be decreased, because we just cant use the "take cover" option or having advantage over the place "yes Im talking about z-angle" Till they re fixed, dont think it would be a good idea.. Otherwise it will be like first shot owns the late guy.

This idea is interesting because it has two almost polar and uncertain outcomes. First is, players easily lose money and the second one is, players easily lose money. What does the first side offer? More groaning and moaning on accidental fires, car kills and such (basically turning it into "who shoots first" contest). What does the second side offer? Careful gaming or gaming in certain frames, a rise in formations and tactics within police units, possibly less "cowboying" and shootouts and of course with it a rise in need of using role play to solve matters.

Using the argument "but this isn't a real life server" is not self sufficient here because the idea itself has some tempting consequences while equally having bad consequences. That would make people think twice on using purely weapons to solve things but would also bring more moans, reports and misunderstandings.

Let's see what other players think of this idea.

Ok, this is why I don't support this idea.
Traffic accidents between peds and cars arent uncommon, not even counting purposeful carkillings.
Those traffic accidents that weren't a coordinated attack usually end with "Sorry" "np" because both sides walk away relatively unscathed, however if you lower the HP ther will be a sudden increase in accidental vehicular homicide.

OK, let's try it like this: "Person drives his/her car within speed limits. Is it really possible to ACCIDENTALLY kill passerby"? Well, of course not! Only if victim jumped into his way somehow. And it would not be like we had 10% of already given health, it would be 50% or 70% of current health points. It's not that drastic.

1st problem with that statement, noone drives within the speed limit.
2nd problem with that statement, everyone walks like a bunch of drunk elk in autumn in Sweden, which makes them prone to get on the road at random times and places.
Only people who want to kill people support this, I think that killing criminals should be difficult as the police isn't supposed to kill people, theyre supposed to jail people.

Mostly when you are in the middle of the street. Everyone is with his car. Cars should be left at parking near GS, hmm let's say parking at the Dukes PD, north. And there is another one before Outlook park, south eerm. And I really never seen that someone runs over people who are normally on the sidewalk. Also drivers should pay attention when see other person.
