Argonath RPG - A World of its own

In a number of topics we've received complaints of the complication, lack of information, and details about RS5. One of the suggestions was a live stream/video from the developers showing off different features of RS5 and how they are "suppose" to work (keep in mind, it is beta).
What I want to know:
Do you want a live stream?
How long do you think this should be?
What do you think we should cover?
How much detail should we go in?
IF we decide to do this, a copy of the stream would be posted on YouTube.
We are also considering:
Optional "welcome" tutorial to RS5
More elaborate written guides
We are also doing/done:
Gandalf's "life in RS5" series [#1 Economy (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=101815.0), #2 Law (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=101899.0), #3 Criminals (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=102034.0)]
Teddy's RP opportunities in RS5 [#1 Mafias (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=102083.0), #2 Civilians (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=102087.0)]
Beginners Guide written by Closed Beta Testers (Wiki (http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?title=SA-MP_RS5_Guide_for_Beginners))
Got another suggestion to help transitions?
Please feel free to leave them here

To be honest, why one?
I think it'd be better to make small videos instead of larger live streams, ones that can be reviewed easily over and over.
For example, a 5 minute intro to the group system, a 5 minute intro to the police system.
Smaller chunks of video can hence be reviewed over and over when you need to, and are easier to scoot through overall.
But yeah, a live stream would be extremely helpful as well.
I'd definitely recommend making small chunks of videos where every feature and command is demonstrated.

We could always do the live stream as one big video then edit them into sections for each on YouTube for those who wish to review, or take a peak at.

That's good, but then you don't really need to make sections but just make a list of what portions are covered at what times (Like police system at 21:30 to 25:30 e.t.c).
But i was thinking more along the lines of fast videos, which would require a lot of modification (For example to demo all the group commands and situations, they can be re-created and filmed. Then compiled into a short video)

A live stream would definitely be fun, but I don't see the advantages of it when compared to just making a video for youtube. If you have the sole intent of creating a tutorial video I think it will be more organized and informative when you don't livestream it.
If you really want to make both, you must have lots of concentration skills to livestream it so well that it is also suitable as a tutorial video. I mean, when you look at gaming livestreams, they usually have no structure, they are really inefficent and usually take way too much time when they for example respond to comments in the livestream chat section.

Live stream is probably the best option considering that it'd take the least effort and time from Developer's side. That could be used by others to create written guides.

How would it take the least time if they would;
"do the live stream as one big video then edit them into sections for each on YouTube"

Don't then. As I'm working to finally get CMB-AD working as intended (Yeah, most wouldn't know what it is due to me locking it a year ago when the beta was confirmed), quality written data should be pushed out as soon as we got basic information (live stream pls), support from devs and time to do so.
Point being, save devs time so they can focus on the bugs and still get help out there.

Well I don't think the point here is really about saving time, as there is so many things they are planning on doing to help people understand RS5, as you can see from the main post.
I think that if you want to get good quality information that you plan on using in the future for tutorial videos, a livestream isn't really the best choice. I am fine with a livestream as long as you make seperate video tutorials that aren't based on the (sloppy) livestream.
If the server suddenly comes online and nobody knows that they are doing, then sure, make a livestream as it would be the best choice for the time being. But at the moment I don't see why we should hurry => video tutorials would be the best bet.

Do you need to watch a live stream to understand how to play GTA V? To play any other game in fact?
Why spend valuable time creating videos on how to play a game when all of the already created guides are in place for users to make use of?

Well, sure beats annoying Teddy on TS for information while he's doing something completely different, as opposed to annoying him on TS while he's doing the livestream :P

Haven't got any experience regarding that, sorry :D

Teddy vs Devin - GO!
Devin loses, his internet can not reach the rocks fast enough.

I got nothing to say for the live stream part . And all of the video cutting and etc. What I think as a good idea is to actually also write down everything that is to be seen on the videos . As if someone forgets a single part he can easily find it when going to the "guide" and also you can put more detail in it than a video...

Just finish the script instead of wasting time on stuff like live streams. It's just a SA:MP script. Make some videos when it's fully done.

This.
you closed down RS4 because you want us to play RS5, fine, my guess is because you want to fix bugs and glitches, but you want to waste time livestreaming? you closed down the server so you can finish it faster, so people will give input and report bugs yet you want to waste your time with this, we don't care about the making, we want to see the finished product.
-
Please don't waste your time with things like this... Firstly, atleast give us a server to play. SAMP was supposed to be online with RS5 today! But it isnt!

It was online since yesterday. It just crashed.

Well something has to be done about that.. We don't want it to be laggy and crashy like RS4 was, right? :)
-
Did you consider the fact that the scripters are currently working on fixing the issues and debugging the scripts at the moment?
Just because the server is not running does not mean they aren't working.
-
I guess that this is ACA's role, and we are already planning to do that aswell.
-
I think people find videos more engaging to watch as opposed to walls of text. Nice of you to think about these things for us.
-
A Live Stream with comments available, so we can make questions and that... How long it should be? Well, no one can answer that... When no one have any question nor anything you finish it.
