Very surprised I was, when I learned that it is not allowed to talk about any politics in-game.
Specially since I do not see it in the rules (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=62244.0).
My reaction to this is to suggest three options in order of preference:
- Allow chat of political nature as long as it does not offend others, violates their rights and or groups of individuals.
- Only disallow the above and political talk about Argonath. (if you would feel the chat to difficult to moderate otherwise)
- List the rule so there can be no uncertainty.
It's just mindboggling that I would not be allowed to say my prime minister sucks. -_^

This is a community wide rule, not server specific. It is because it often ends up in a lot of arguments, which each server can do without.

Good reply.
Is this (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=38482.0) what you are speaking off?

Religion, politics are the two factors which start wars, therefor they aren't to be discussed in public :)

Use a cb channel if you are compelled to talk about politics. The main chat is for our game related discussions and it must be kept clear of bs.

It's often allowed in the "World and Local News" board.

@Patrick: Yes I understand, thats what Phil also posted before you.
@Armelin: Yes I understand, thats what Patrick and Phil also said before you.
@Antonio: Thanks for the information.
I kind of feel misunderstood. My first post stated I discovered talking about politics is forbidden. Then you all respond by telling me what I already know,,, that it's forbidden.
Would anyone care to give me information I am seeking? Like answering this question? Is this (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=38482.0) what you are speaking off?
Or is maybe this (http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?title=Rules), what phil is referring to?
I would just like to know what I am allowed and not allowed to do, so I wont break any rules unknowingly. Ignorance is no excuse to breaking the rules.
And since the word is used in its plural form, there have to be more community rules then just this one.
So pretty please with a cherry and sugar on top, can anyone tell me where to find the community rules?
Thank you kindly in advance,

With very strict rules, yes. It is easily managed more on the forum.

Answer to your question (http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?title=Argonath_Rules)
There are also links to server specific rules.

Thank you Kessu, for taking me out of the gray area and giving me clarity. I now hope I know exactly know what is expected of me as user. I got 2 list of rules community rules and specific server rules. Or is there a third document?
Thanks to Kessu, all others earned a brownie point.
I would now like to modify my suggestion to the following: Add a link to the community rules (http://) to the server rules found on the forum (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=62244.0). I'm sure I would not have posted this if it were already in place.

Just want to add that generally we're not so strict about politics talks.. obviously they have to match with some basic requirements: education, clarity, common sense.
