I think Admins need to shape up and be more like Slavik, he is very good.
I ask sometime to admin a question about the RS5 Server and he say "I don't know" and I ask another Admin stuff and he is like "I don't know that". and u know?
Then next day admin join and say "should I even be admin, I don't know nothing"
Developer need to give as much information to Admin or an Admin Leader needs to be made to re-teach them.
Thanks

Perhaps you didn't notice that many things have changed from RS4 to RS5, due to this and other factors it's understandable that administrators aren't too certain when it comes to things.
Keep in mind while players are learning how to do things so are the administrators.

fair enough

The staff members are like any other players. We have given them a private orientation in the past but it was never expected to them to know everything to 100%.
Everyone learn at their own pace. Some takes small amount of time to learn all the new stuff and for others, it take longer time. It's how humans work and we are not expecting something else.
-
You expect staff members to know every single thing about RS5, we are all pretty much new to it as everyone else. Don't know if you are trying to have a dig at staff members for being incompetent about the features of RS5 or what. Why come and create a forum topic about it? It's just petty.
-
On one side I am happy to see that the team has been giving so much help in the RS4 scripts that even experienced players have come to depend on them for asking every single thing.
However on the other hand, perhaps there are other and better sources to get this information from, and you might let the admin team at this time do what they are primarily there for: ensure people follow the rules.
General rules have not changed. That is the beauty of keeping them simple.

Talking about keeping things simple, have you even seen the new RS5 cash script yet?
-
Man dis guy is right. All da scripts are so confusing!

He's the one designing it.
Most of the stuff we have done is based on ideas from Gandalf and pretty much nothing is done without his knowledge or him agreeing to it.

Gandalf, can you put an alternative currency.
Gold and silver.
Can be found, manufactured, turned into items.
thanks

Yeah we made it real complicated.
Player1 puts $20.000 in a wallet.
Player 2 puts 2000 ammo in a container
Player 1 gives wallet to player 2
Player 2 gives container to player 1
:rage:

I barely played RS5 but judging by other people's speeches and moans, there seems to be too much shit being put into other shit.

Therefor you have no rights to judge it and shouldn't follow what others are saying without trying it out properly yourself.

It's a learning curve for everyone it'll take time but soon it'll be like we've had the script for years. The best thing we can all do is ask questions and learn from each other. Every time I login I've got a question of sorts... it doesn't always get answered clearly be it an admin or player but I understand that we are all learning... this is what everyone needs to understand.

What are you even talking about? Made my night

I want more stuff like /use helmet - but all items for all players with exception of POLICE armor, let the cop arrest them if they impersonate cops.

Man...

Glad you're taking this seriously! The tears in your eyes must have blocked your view of the two lines that came after.
Right now, how many ways are there to store money? Hand, wallet and bank? Then I heard some hints about ingame online payment... so that's 4.. 4 ways to pay a person while I could just wire them the money.
I understand the concept of having a limit on the amount you can carry in hand, which calls for a wallet script, but why would someone need more than one wallet? Who walks around with 10 wallets with $5,000 in each of them, and an extra $5000 in their hands? You'd need a wallet for your wallets, and that's just.... plain weird.

You can only have three wallets, out of which only 1 can be active. Wallets store more than 5,000$.

I just threw the number 10 out of the back of my mind. And the fact that wallets can carry a lot more than that kinda makes it more irrational. The active wallet thing is irrelevant.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there some talk about you not having the need to use the wallet system and just keep to the old system?
-
a list of all commands would help :o

You may have more than needed wallets, but you're only using one (active wallet).

The active wallet is not irrelevant, because you will use it to /wire and /send money in bank and cash respectively.
If you have no active wallet, you can not use the /send command as it does not know where to take the cash from. Once you do have an active wallet, /send works as it used to.

And what, may I ask, is the reason for such a script?

http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?title=SA-MP_RS5_Guide_for_Beginners#RS5_Economy
The guide is divided into topics; at the end of each section there's a bold "Full Command List"
There's also a guide made by Rusty which may come handy if someone still fails to understand what a wallet is and how to tuck money into it :D

Man, y'all over did the economy wallet thing. Killed it.
It really is unnecessarily confusing and complicated. I like the concept of shared bank accounts and transferable wallet.
And I hate the pickpocket thing. Instead of a script y'all should enforce rules about roleplaying robberies and let people do them without scripts. Make them /send. If a victim doesn't RP, then punish him.
This seriously feels like a cops and robbers server I once played. Every other guy keeps trying to come near me and does /pickpocket.

It's all about understanding and accepting the change, then keep moving on. :gand:

As features are being tested and exploited, guides are being made, in time you'll have a full list of them. :)
/help is also being worked on, so that will be more useful.

God bless your heart, James. This pretty much summarizes my thoughts.
