The family traces its roots to 1920, when " Chino DeCavalcante" assassinated Little Italy's padrone and took over his territory.
Around 1925 Chino formally orginized the family and it became the most powerful crime family after defeating the olive oil war in 1930 in NY.
1945 and after Chino's retirement followed by his death from a heart attack, The family business was taken over by "Micheal", the youngest DeCavalcante brother, who moved the family to Las Vegas, Nevada. By 1979, the activities of the DeCavalcante's were nearly legitimate. "Micheal" sold their interests in casinos, hotels, drugs and prostitution. After the fail of the assassination attempt on "Michael", that was orchestrated by the underboss, "Joey Zasa", "Michael" appointed "Vincint Mancini" to be his Successor. Who has changed his name to DeCavalcante and started the family's third generation. But in opposition to the morals of his predecessors, he has heavily involved the family in the drug trade, particularly the smuggling of cocain, driving the DeCavalcante clan back into corruption and eventual decline. "Vincent's story ends with "Vincent" being hunted down and killed in a police shootout, bringing the end of the DeCavalcante crime family by the late 1990s.
2012, "Nick DeCavalcante", fled to Las Venturas after corrupting a major drug deal and was offered protection by resident DeCavalcante's. with leaked source of the DeCavalcante location, they became targeted by other criminal organizations.
