The original idea was to deter non-dedicated roleplaying players from finding the fires so easily. The issue is that the description in /pager within the building was never made as specific as we had hoped, so everyone is having the same difficulty instead. :P

Get to know the map. Do single player missions of taxi/ fire/medic for some days and you will be able to find your way.

Or use the map that comes with the game(in the box) and pin it on your wall, that's how I learnt all the locations

Not everyone has the map, or the box, or the cd for that matter.

Blueberry missions are reported as "Red County", so this does not help.

It also does not help when people find bugs and don't report them...

You can't unless someone makes a mod for it. What he posted was just an image.

I hope there is no problem if i post the mod then. (http://www.mediafire.com/download/9oscyx17m090fdo/HD%20Map%20with%20Locations.rar) I think that the mark on the fire is not necessary, it's going to make the fire duty less interesting, what it is necessary it's to make the location on /pager more specific.

You should be fine to post that as long as it isn't against the rules to use.

I agree. The problem is how we go about doing that, since the in-game default map itself is not very specific.
-
what it is necessary it's to make the location on /pager more specific.
Most firemen can easily find the missions, and /pager is already as specific as ingame area names can get. What is the problem here?

Nah, some locations are ambiguous for no reason. For example, Blueberry fires show up as being in "Red County".
Also Arco del Oeste is listed as Tierra Robada even though it's in Bone County. Stuff like that.

Should be fine, it isn't really any more useful than the paper map that comes with the GTA:SA box.

Most of them have already found where they are at. Others will have more difficulty if they have never been to it before. All of the locations are new.
The problem is that some areas being listed are very large in general, so telling someone to go to an area doesn't really help them pinpoint its location.
-
Not all 911 callers know the exact location ;)

Exactly, people also wanted the server to be more RPish, adding a mark won't make it like that, isn't it?

As the pager is limited by /area, to see if we can get even more specific would be up to whether the devs can set new /area quadrants or not.
Wouldn't automatic markers just be making it too easy?
-
You don't even need quadrants, you can have the area to return to /pager custom for each location, instead of having something silly as "Red County", you could easily have it say "Western Red County, hills" or w/e you like.
