So, at first, you'll see the title and won't even believe. Yes, you will! After a pretty active time (January - May 2013), we got playerless. Between January and May 2013, the server was pretty populated. Now it is a ghost town. Why can't anyone join it? I do, but the roleplay fun ain't no more fun when you do it alone. Why do you anyway bother to host a ghost server? WE NEED TO BRING BACK ALL OF OUR PLAYERS!

Calling the server dead isn't going to help. Most of the issue right now is simply that people can't find where the server is hosted because it isn't using the universal address like the rest of Argo, and the IP keeps changing due to hosting issues.

Blame the owners for neglecting the server/VC:MP section and no, that's not the main reason.

I'm not. If you bothered to check several of the recent topics in this board, you would see that hosting changed several times.

Playing the blame game is not going to help anything.

That's the best excuse you got? Even though I do not know much about VC:MP's current condition, I can tell that's bullshit.

Alright, so you're saying new players that fill in the gaps and cause regulars to want to join the server during low and peak hours are easily finding the Argo server day and night, and are having no issues with the IP changes that have happened several times, because they automatically assume the IP must have changed when the server listed in their favorites goes offline. That makes sense!

Maybe one or two, or maybe even three do, but not really why most players are not on it. Anyway, there's a tracker on the main forum.

From what I can see from the remaining VC:MP regulars (as I have not returned personally to this server yet), that does not appear to be the case.

Yet even in another server, you still cannot stop insulting the developers of SA:MP... I'm wondering how your post got through moderation.

#1 Server has always been quiet throughout the winter, tho' never this quiet. One of the main reasons I'd say is because we are not in the official tab of VCMP Browser anymore.

#2 IP has been stable for couple of months now.

#3 We're not dead, we just have a lot of things going on in our real-lifes so the core of the server has been on lower activity than usual, but we're looking on how to change it :)

#4 As long as there are couple of players online the server is bound to fill up more, just stay on server.

#5 Yes, new scripts were created, but it's not that players don't like it, infact the opposite, it's just that our scripters have gone MIA so the scripts have been in beta for way  too long :D

#6 We are the only RPG server in VCMP that has been around for years, so those who would want to play on RPG server would not move to another server because that does not exist.

Also stop with that attitude of the server being "dead" and there are no players.
And for anybody who checks on the player count about every one and a half hours.. Instead of waiting for other players to be the first to join, why not you be the special PlayerID 0?
Server empty and you wanna play? join it! in no less than 30 minutes tops, somebody else will join. Oh, theres already a PlayerID 0? JOIN ANYWAYS! dont wait for other people to join and "lure" you inside to play, BE the lurer! Waiting's worth it!
Results may vary, as long as you dont join at like 3 AM.. (unless you're american, then that would be fine)
Btw, it really doesn't help having all these "RIP VCMP ARGO WHAAA WHAA!!" threads around this section, for the reason that maybe people wanna migrate from other server's GTAMP's and wanna check out the community before joining, seeing that the server is ostensibly dead, and then lose all hope and forget the idea of even trying VCMP's server.
I'd like to end that note with urging everybody to think positive. Take Kessu as a great example.

If you ask me, I am not able to locate any of Argonath server's IPs. Making a little topic regarding this won't hurt anybody, hmm?

Most new players find the server through the internet tab and they are unlikely to join an empty server so join and follow Dani's advice. Players will join soon enough, its up to you to give them a good first impression so they return. ;)

1. Nobody likes RS5.
2. All the Argonath SA:MP devs' ideas were bad.
3. The SA:MP devs released RS5 because they disregarded the opinions of the players.
4. The SA:MP devs love bragging how they do not need to listen to players, and like disregarding players.
5. Argonath VC:MP players are moving to other RPG servers.

then remind me to buy you a dictionary for your next birthday as you cannot be farther from the truth and need to look up the definitions of "sense" and "truthfulness".

In all seriousness, the allegations he posted insulting developers are not "sense and truth", the more apt term would be "a load of shit".

Regardless of which Argonath server, these people who go around shouting "The community is dead / dying!" are spreading shit and not facts. This is nothing new as it has been going on for years despite how the community has grown and lasted, as well as the fact that those same moaners can not be seen ingame contributing anything meaningful to progress. SA:MP is not dead, and neither is VC:MP.

This is the VCMP section, and you stated 4 points based on SAMP just to make ur point, dodgy.

Instead of causing a huge discussion about the fact if a server is dead(empty) or not, try to find a solution to change it.

Everyone is free to share their opinions, as long as its allowed according to the server rules.

It's exactly like Dani stated, if you have the opinion a server is dead, join in and make it alive!
That, at least, will help Argonath RPG and is better than ending up in an useless discussion on the forums.
