There are many ways to find which driver is missing, one I use most is 3DP Net which you can find Here (http://www.3dpchip.com/3dpchip/3dp/net_down_en.php), It's about 80mbs unless I am wrong, but contains every driver related to internet connection.
The other way around is looking up to Device Manager (Right click on 'My Computer' > Device Manager) and you should come across something like this:
In your case, the question mark should be under Network Adapters category, from there you can do right click settings/properties, navigate to the third tab (Information/Details) and from the menu choose the second (2nd) option which has the Hardware ID. Look on the image:
Copy & Paste this here, or look the ID on Google for manual installation, else use the 3DP Net.
Feel free to ask any more questions, I hope I helped though.

the problem is im not on mah PC right now
if this adapter that i took wont help me..
imma just go and format that shit :(
-
Formatting will not solve it, because drivers wont be installed automatically. Download the 3DP burn it on a CD or use a USB Stick to transfer it on the other computer, run 3DP and install the driver.

Dude you need to me more specific as we can understand what you are trying to say?
Tell us exactly what's gone on.
-
Another got way of solving the issue, upgrading to a later operating system, i.e Windows 7 as they tend to find the drivers and install them automatic.

I already told you, Download 3DP on the computer you are using, BURN it on CD/DVD or use a USB Stick to transfer it there.. You can run the program without internet, and it will install the drivers you need so you can connect to the internet.
