Title: Subway transit

Would be nice to establish subway transit in Liberty City. It has train stations and railway that are there as decoration for now. I believe it would be nice addition, so players could travel between islands much faster. I know train can be added only as object, not movable thing, but maybe TP could replace that journey?

I see that instant TP could be a problem cause you actually need some time to travel but maybe player could be frozen for 30-60 secs or higher that will represent time spent in travel?

Players would pay every time they use it, with price depending on how many stations are between starting and final destination or something like that.

Suspected players couldn't be able to use subway due to abuse possibility.

In general, player would come to station, with I don't know, /station he could check possible destinations like "1 - middle park (algonquin)" or something like that. Then he type /travel 1 and that is it. He spawns there with being frozen for 30 secs.

I believe subway would be good thing, this idea just need to be better elaborated. xD

Matter of fact, thanks for bumping this topic lonell. Since Alderney and Algonquin is heavily used now, the subway transit script would be a great boon to the players, we wouldnt need to worry about buggy bridge or tunnel anymore. Dunno how unstable it would get though with the script mounted..

EDIT: Just came to know, the subway script is not possible with current client as it cant support it.

Why are you thinking there will be lost for taxi business ? This script doesn't brings to a specific place.It just teleports from on specific place to another,if you still want to head to your specific location. Thaxshee is better !

Unsupported. The taxi drivers already are suffering from lack of customers, this feature will just lower them. If this gets added than you might as well remove the scripted taxi job.

Well if u say But taxi still dont works at all and this idea would kill it totaly.
And this teleport subway would be abused in many ways.

I wish to one just one of those many ways to "abuse it", is a s yoske said unable to be used when you are a criminal.
And it wouldn't kill the taxi job it would have might have saved it, if you are on foot from MGS to Alderny, and you see a taxi under the train platform at Alderny or vice verse, what will you do? You will enter it and paid to get to where ever you wanted to in the 1st palace.

And you do get that you need to be on foot, to use this do you?

Idea is better then good, sadly will never live....
