Helping history.
In order to give a nice overview of our work, we try to note down all the (new players) we have introduced towards the community. This will give other people the possibilty to further help these players. Regular help like answers in the Help Chat will not be listed here, due to the high amount of questions and this would only make it a mess.

Don't take it as another challenge, but another group working towards a more populated server.

There is no need to create more groups based on helping others. Help them, assist them - no need to create more groups just to show that you're doing that.

Thanks for your positive feedback (warning: sarcasm), there was as well no need in saying there are not any more groups needed. If there were enough groups, if there was enough helping people than we would have less unanswered questions and less people not knowing what to do.

I do personally think I'm doing something good for the community, along with the people who are interested in becoming a part of this. Other than the most groups, I will be looking into the helping-ability of people rather than the people willing to help (just for the name and increasing chance of becoming a moderator and such).

Yet again, thanks for thinking we're doing it just to 'show it' rather than 'helping people'. I do not wanna cause an argument here, but what do you do? ;-)

Members are in first instance accepted as Trial Veteran Community Advisors (TVCA). For now I made an exception for Jeremy Diggs, Alphonse Corleone and Stivi Gvardia. As I've been helping new players together with them, for the others applying. If being accepted, you become a trial for a few days (around a week) and then you get a default rank. I'm still creating a rank between trial and experienced, but you will see that soon (when I found a name for it :P)

I did not mean what I said to be a disrespect to you. What I meant was that there are too many "helping groups" which are being created and none of them are actually doing anything. If you think that this will do an actual difference and will help the new ones, then go for it. But I've seen enough bullshit coming from groups who aim to do something and do something completely different. What I said what something in general and not to you specifically. Good luck.

Well then I might have misunderstood you, my apologies for that. The reason I'm making this group, is because of the reasons just said. I've seen several helping groups, with all due respect, who usually do their work so they can show they are 'doing something'. Instead of criticizing these groups, I thought I would do way better in trying to make something better myself - maybe there were unforeseen issues why other groups 'bled to death'. Thanks for your further explanation, it's much more clear now for me.

This is all nice, and I wish you luck, but why do you need a topic not to mention a group to do this?
Cause then it looks more like publicity then the real will to help out.

IMO
Having a group actually helps people see that there is a certain amount of people working towards a goal, if the outsiders seek the same thing they'll want to join the group. Why are there group tags? People should know each other for the role-play scenario not the name above the character.
Having a group provides some tools that help in organisation and recruiting. The topic gives out visibility for people who want to join our cause, so yes you can call it 'publicity'.
Our goal is not to show off, but to gather people to work for the sake of the future regular players of the server.

Yeah that's nice a well, but when I said publicity, I've meant personal publicity.

The fact is you don't need a group to help new players, you need the group to show off how you're helping new players, and people who'll join it will just join it so when someone does /groups he can say: "Oh look how nice of him he's helping new players".

No hate or anything, I really wish you all the luck, just think you're doing it wrong.

I'm glad you decided to make it public, Nexxt. It's a very well proposal and I hope people will notice your goal and join you. I had some certain ideas for this but as I'm stepping back for a while I believe it would be pointless.  :)

If that motivates players to help eachother, why not? Which groups are you talking about since I only heard about ACA.

This is rather pointless. Helping people in this community means nothing for HQ, what's the point of this? People are not being appreciated for it, and they moan how players don't help eachother.

Only one that is moaning is you.

To everyone that is talking shit about this group. These people are here to help players, just like some of you. If they want to do this with a group. Let them, I find it a good idea. If a player is helped by a certain group, and he needs more help he can search for members of the group, since he liked the help that has been given to him.

Good luck guys.

Implying we're doing this for the HQ and not for the new players.
