Title: How to increase GPU voltage?
Post by: Khm on June 02, 2014, 03:07:27 pm
Yes i am dumb;

I searched a lot in google w/o any success so i hope i find a solution here.

I have Nvidia card GeForce GT 540M, trying to find out how to increase the voltage since its the solution to stop the directx crash of BF3, can someone tell em how please?

I have the same GPU and it crashed with BF3 too. I believe updating your driver via GeForce Experience fixed it for me.

Nope.

As for this (http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654348467637636/) the problem would be solved by increasing the GPU voltage as my drivers are already updated so how to increase it? :D

Increasing voltage can ruin your GPU if you increase it too much, power consumption and temps will increase and the lifespan of your card can decrease as well.
Anyway try MSI Afterburner, it's the most common used OC utility software for GPUs but again watch out or you will burn your card out.

If you don't even know how to increase GPU voltage then I strongly recommend not increasing the voltage. One mistake and ur GPU says poof.

There's no other solution to solve the problem except that...

Anyway try MSI Afterburner
Then this. If the increase voltage option is grayed out then you're out of luck because it's disabled in the GPU's BIOS to let programs increase the voltages.
