Well basically I was playing Battlefield today and suddenly the sound stopped. I restarted my laptop and it still didn't worked.
Things that I tried but didn't work.
-Installed another audio driver (Realtek HD Audio Manager)
-Updating current and previous audio drivers.
-Disabling and re enabling the driver.
Still not found a solution.
Can you guys please help me?
P.s. Laptop is Lenovo Ideapad S500 Windows 8 64-bit

Same thing happened to me while I was playing Battlefield 3 and my laptop's brand is Lenovo :D
Now I'll tell how you'll solve this problem with a video (sorry, my PC language is Turkish)
Some translations:
hizmetler : services
windows ses : windows sound
yeniden baÅŸlat : restart
And video:

Well, does it appear any problem in "device manager"?
-
nope, no problem appears there :\

Issue must be driver related, if you can see Audio output, yet when you hit volume you do not receive any sound, it means that the device is problematic.
Worst case scenario: Even if it is indeed problematic, it is not worth sending in for repair, there are outside Audio Cards on USB, which are very very cheap and work better than most integrated laptop ones.

I don't really know whats going on, I was playing Assasin's Creed 4 days ago and suddenly the sound started to work and 2 days later it stopped :| I think there might be any problem inside the laptop, Im going to take it to any service.
This thing started to happen in the moment that I connected the subwoofers on my PC and I was playing loud music with high bas too, I guess that made the problem :|

Does the laptops' speakers work?
-
Try this (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/) out. ;-)

Does the laptops' speakers work?
Ye, I think it's the drivers but when I uninstalled the current one and when i installed Realtek it had a very bad quality, I'll take it where i bought it since it's still on insurance date :P

Imma try this once again and will let you know if it will work or no.

Apparently the whole problem of my audio is happening because i keep getting spammed with "Jack is now plugged in" and "Jack is now unplugged" I don't think that my laptop speaker got fucked up cause when it says "Jack is now unplugged" i can hear sounds. The problem now is that when i go at IDT Audio Manager, Jack Configuration is not enabled. Anyone have any idea how can i enable it?

Try to do this:
1- Go to computer Panel
2- In category change to small icons
3- The sound
4- Then attempt to try any one
5- If none work try to select the other one back
6- Double click
7- Click in properties
8- Then check the driver status and post it here
