Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is an upcoming first person shooter by Ubisoft. It was announced by Ubisoft on June 9, 2014 at E3.

It is considered to be a successor to Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, which has been cancelled. It will be released on eighth generation consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, as well as on Microsoft Windows. Like all other titles in the series, it will focus heavily on team play and realism. However, there are major differences to older versions of the game, featuring a heavy multiplayer focus and destructible environments.[A trailer at E3 2014 demonstrated a hostage rescue scenario and the game has initially received positive reactions.

I got this game today (the starter edition is only 14.99 euros, or $14.99, yay cheaper for 'Murica). The starter edition just requires more grinding but everything else is the same. The operators cost more to unlock otherwise the exact same game. The offer for starter edition expires on the 19th I believe.

Anyways, I am not disappointed... another fantastic experience that was certainly worth the money. I will be overdosing on this for weeks to come for sure :D

Myself and Devin spent 11 hours today playing and just barely shy of being able to afford a new operator.

Caveira is#1. The new Favelas map is also quite dope and it really changes the entire dynamic of the game and provides even more challenging yet rewarding gameplay. It's largely destructible environment really keeps every moment intense on both sides. Honestly, this latest update is amazing as shit.

This new map is so messy it makes people confused as defender. I dislike it and the new operato is like some sort of wizard shit and shooting overpower shit

btw...i love this new anti-cheat system (BattiEye) its so good also if you're banned from Dayz or Arma, you're not able to play Rainbow six.

The map familiarity will come with time, introducing all those new angles and tactics is what this game needed to keep it alive. Having an operator with area denial is actually really good, balances out the defense operator Smoke being able to do the same. Neither of the new operators are by any means overpowered. Blackbeard, yes, that's about it. The rest just takes getting used to in order to counter... even Pulse can be countered with IQ.

Jesus... you are retarded. No, it's not true. Yes it's the same anti-cheat system but their implementation is two totally different independent entities. It isn't like Valve's VAC banning system... it's more like Punkbuster where you are banned per-game account by serial, not globally across all of the dozens of game that use that anti-hack system.

It takes some getting used to, learning the operators (and unlocking), did you do all the situations and learn the basics of the game and it's mechanics first? This game is not like most where you just run around shooting, you need to be patient (but not to patient, there's a timer), check your angles, check your corners, watch your cover (wood walls/floors = bad cover as can easily be wall/floor banged), and use Intel (drones, communication, cameras, etc) to learn where the enemy is and gain an advantage, also focus on eliminating the enemies ability to collect Intel on you by destroying cameras (if attacking, if you're a defender don't destroy them like Rusty used to) and drones.

Nah Ubisoft got better anti hack system on PC called BattleEye, there is no hacks anymore =) Its same anti hack system that Arma 3 using

I'd be more inclined to use the breaching rounds Ash has to deal with it though. Saves being killed while planting a breaching charge on it and not knowing if someone is waiting for a free kill through the one way glass.

Mira is not good in my opinion. Can be countered easily, specially if you're playing against a good team. No bandit tricking will take place, just a free hole for the attackers. Also no Acog sight for her smg.

@Rusty pretty sure you cant take Mira window down with breaching charges or Ash. You need Hibana if you want to take it out from range unless you want to risk it as Thermite. Twitch drone also gets the job done pretty well. You can also bait the defenders to open it for you.

Be pointless to place the window on walls that aren't reinforced anyway, but you do see some dumb shit in Siege.

Jackal's gadget will be nerfed I think, it's way too good. 90seconds of footprints, that's half the round, I see it going down to 60 very soon.
I also gave up on doing hatches as roamer, 99% you'll get scanned, specially on certain maps and you cant escape a team that rotates good. RIP my Bandit

After a month since release i can say that Vector is one of the best guns in game.

No need for acog, it will allow her to get headshots and make her too strong in my opinion. Acog would compensate for the damage fall off over range. It's fine as it is, absolute beast in close range. You can lockdown the whole hallway on your own with great Mira placement.

Hope Teddy doesn't read this, he'd suggest you buy the 320948€ master edition :janek:

I got the Starter Edition on 14/06/2016 and paid it the same, whilst the full game was around 30-40€. For 5€ difference I'd tell you to go for the full edition since unlocking operators takes a good while.

Better than CS:GO and COD
Good community with active updates
Cool operators and balanced
good anti cheat system and strict rules for teamkiling or other cheats

Takes quite a grind. I unlocked all the operators just recently on lvl 140. I was only missing Frost and decided its better idea to buy three 25k weapon skins.. was i wrong. That shotgun of hers, beast.

Anyways. Probably could have got them all much earlier if i didnt buy skins, but either way dont expect to unlock them all by the 110th level or so, specially with new operators coming.

Well I'd say go for the full edition if you want to play as all operators. I bought the starter edition when it came out like a year ago and it was kinda frustrating when the team picked the operators from the starter one and I was left with the recruit (you can still pick all the weapons as the recruit but you get like 1 reinforced wall instead of 2 like with a normal operator). And sure you can grind to unlock all operators with renown but I saw a youtuber do a video about it and its about 250k renown to unlock all of them and consider you get like 100 - 400 renown depending on how good you perform on a game (- the bonus ones on challenges) it's gonna take you a good amount of time to unlock them all. I ended up buying season pass on discount on G2A and I do not regret it since I can play as whoever I want now.

But it all comes down to how much grind you want to put in the game and how interested you are in trying out all operators, that's what I think atleast.

Only thing i paid for is the platinum skin and that was around 5 euro
