Title: Windows 8 problems with SAMP

Hello there,

I recently bought a new Laptop which operates on Windows 8. I had my GTA SA disk and i just installed it and it works incredibly well. Now the problem occurs when i start SA:MP. I installed SA:MP and when i connect to a server, SA:MP loads till the end and i hear the sound of the skies but then the game suddenly crashes. I dont see the skies but i just hear them. I tried changing the compatibility of both GTA SA and SA:MP individually and together but no luck. Tried re-installing GTA SA and SAMP both. Tried Deleting my GTA San Andreas Userfiles but still no luck.

I hope i have described the problem well enough for someone who can give me a appropriate solution.

P.S I am new to Windows 8.

While awaiting for a reply, i was constantly visiting google and it showed up as "This Website is not safe" and something regarding google's SSL certificate. However the whole message had a little part to it that said "Your date is 7/5/2040, is that right?" and that triggered a thought into my mind that maybe this was causing the problem, as soon as i changed it i was able to join the servers without and crashes.

tl;dr, My date year was set to 2040, and i switched it back to 2014 and it worked.
