I was playing a game that was installed on my external.. After quitting the game I couldn't open the HDD. Here how it looks.

Whenever I try to open it, I get a message saying something like "file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"
Please if anyone experienced this kind of problem before, and you guys know the fix, let me know. Thank you.
(I would like to keep all the data on the HDD, in other words I dont want to format it)

Try to format that disk, should work perfectly fine then.

He said he did not want to format it,
What kind of External HDD are you using, is it an automatic one or one that you can change features with, try unplugging it from power for a few minutes, (5-10) and then try to connect it again.
-
Also, I suggest going to "Computer Management" in the Control Panel's Administrative tools, and to check Disk Management there.
If the partition shows up as "RAW file system"... then it's to hope you can recover it: Try running "chkdsk E: /f" if it is.

I did that, but all it says is "Connecting to Virtual Disk service..."
