Project: ARISE presents: The Argonath Creativity Competition
What is this?
For Argonath RPG's 8th Anniversary (the community was founded on July 28, 2006), Project: ARISE institutes the Argonath Creativity Competition, a special event with BIG prizes. For this Competition, the face-off shall be between our community's master photo editors!
How does it work?
Contestants will edit the screenshot given by Project: ARISE, competing to produce the most creative result. Photoshop is preferred, although other editors may be used. (Including MS Paint, if you really are a master of creativity!)
Entries will be voted upon by Project: ARISE volunteers, while valid entries shall be posted after closing of entry submission, to be voted upon by Argonath SA:MP RPG players for the Community's Choice award.
The Community's Choice prize will be given to the winner of public voting. However, if the awardee also wins one of the Top 3 Winner posts, the Community's Choice prize will be split between the awardee (25%) and the 4th and 5th Placers (75% combined).
Are there any contest rules, regulations, criteria, or other shit?
Yes, there are. Criteria is divided into two main parts: those covering the contestants and those covering the entries.
For the contestants:
1. Contestants CANNOT fall under any of the following categories:
• Players who have not registered on the Argonath RPG SA:MP RPG server prior to July 31, 2014
• Players who are banned at any point from July 31, 2014 to August 18, 2014; winners who receive a valid ban after the announcement of winning entries will have their prizes forfeited, so behave well!
• Members of Project: ARISE or anyone inducted into Project: ARISE between July 31, 2014 and August 18, 2014
2. Contestants must exercise good behavior. Any contestants who are caught rulebreaking or causing major conflict between community members and/or administration staff may be disqualified at Project: ARISE's discretion, with the exception of bans, which merit sure disqualification.
3. Contestants may advertise their entries on the server or the Argonath forum/s. However, any contestant found bribing anyone in this community to vote for their entry will automatically be disqualified. (not to mention, branded as a cheater / loser)
4. Contestants must be able to follow the simple event instructions, such as the timeframe of submission and submitting entries using the official form. This is a Competition, so we will not tolerate contestants who do not give the required effort.
For the entries:
1. All entries must utilize the original Event Photo given in this topic. No "comic" formats (where the image is juxtaposed with other full screenshots / images) are allowed.
2. Submitted entries must be easily identifiable as products of the original photo and the Argonath RPG community. ("Argonath Factor")
3. No entry may include content that is not allowed on the server, including, but not limited to:
• Excessively explicit (take note of "excessively") sexual content
• Real world political propaganda. (this is a game, we're here to relax)
• Content endorsing, reflecting, or identifying any other gaming communities not related to Argonath RPG
• Malicious content that may present security risks for anyone who views the entry
• Insults directed at administration staff and current community members / past community members of good standing
4. Submitted entries may not have excessively large image resolution or file sizes (capped at 5MB); animated .gifs are allowed. (if you're good enough to turn the screenshot into an animated .gif; take note however, this is not necessarily an advantage)
5. Closing of entry submission is closing of entry submission; no entry submitted past the announcement of closing will be accepted. (I mean, 10 days is certainly more than enough time, yes?)
What are the prizes?
The Grand Winner of the event wins ARD 35,000, the 2nd Placer ARD 25,000, and the 3rd Placer 15,000.
Meanwhile, the Community's Choice awardee shall receive a prize of ARD 10,000. For the entire event, this will total ARD 85,000 in prizes.
However, it doesn't stop there; all prizes can be increased if donors inject into our prize pool! If we receive additional donations for this event, then the final list of donors and increased prizes will be announced along with the list of winners.
How do I join?

2. Apply creative edits as necessary.
3. Post your submissions in this topic; entries (or thumbnails of entries) must be embedded into the post for easy viewing. Use the following form:

Competition Timeline
1. Submission of Entries: July 31 to August 24
2. Voting on Entries: August 24 to September 4
(by Project: ARISE volunteers for the Top 3, and the SA:MP RPG community for the Community's Choice)
3. Final Preparation of Results: September 5 to September 6
4. Announcement of Winners: September 6, Saturday
