A Qatar airways flight 23 from Doha has landed in Manchester Airport after being escorted by an RAF typhoon, police are reporting a "Possible device threat" on board.

So thats where my bom....
Always love it when a plane gets escorted by a fighter
Quite fun to see how 'small' the fighter actually is compared to the other plane.
EDIT:
But honestly, I don't really see the use for the fighter being there, what are they gonna do, shoot down the plane?

Well atleast now CBF's got something to do!

If the plane gets hijacked and begins to go off course, it has the authority to shoot it down.

And the innocent passengers die.

Of course, it's better to have 200 people on board the plane die rather than hundreds of people on the ground die along with them... isn't it?

I wondered the same thing  A quick curiosity search reveals that data from outdated sensors can be sketchy. After MH370 planes are usually accompanied by fighters when something goes wrong to make sure the plane is tracked at all times. In case a plane crashes the fighter plane can also report it's exact position and make it much easier for rescue squads to reach it.
Plus if the plane takes a sudden dive towards a populated or important area then the fighter pilot can shoot down the plane before 9/11 V2 happens.
