Now first off, if you don't have an NVIDA GTX 600 or greater card you might wanna stop reading this and go invest in one since this software will not work on it.
Shadow play comes with Geforce Experience developed by Nvida, which also provides game optimization and driver update notifications.
Why should you use it?
- Minimal FPS impact. We all know software like fraps and everything else can have at least a minor FPS impact while recording. Since it is developed by Nvida they know exactly how to utilize their hardware just right where the FPS drop is near none, if not none. A game I play that I normally get 62-65 FPS only dropped to 61-63 frames while recording using ShadowPlay while with Fraps it dropped to around 55.
- Shadow recording: This mode allows you to set a time interval, say 5 minutes. In this the shadow play is always recording but is looping over that 5 minutes, so rather than always recording and having to delete once at 5 minutes it starts overriding, then by pressing F+10 (or other key) you can save that last 5 minutes, or what ever interval you have set (I use 20).
- More efficient indicator: Fraps simply turns red (FPS) while Shadow Play has a green dot when can be visible to the user, as well as an indicator if you are using PTT to mic recording. This is because the FPS meter is optional in Shadow Play, like fraps.. so the indicator should be separated.
- Twitch Integration: Shadow Play is designed to stream directly to Twitch, and much like its recording it has a very minimal impact on FPS and performance. You simply need a Twitch username and password, it also comes with Camera options to include your webcam feed into the stream (this is also apart of the recording options)
- It's fuckin free... oh and 1080p at 50mbps output :)

You must be one of the people who cry when it rains in GTA:SA, you have my most sincere sympathy. Maybe one day my friend, maybe one day.

I feel inner pain in my heart arteries every time it rains. Yes, maybe one day. Pray with me. :D

I have a 650Ti and I was lazy to download shadowplay untill I saw this topic. Tried it, a lot better than any other screen capture softwares. An eye-opener..
