Title: SAMP looks dark at night, Textures don't fit in. (Problem not existant in SP)
Post by: DarkShadowBlade on August 18, 2014, 08:35:16 pm
So I got an ENB. Now, it works for the Single Player but It has a major issue in SAMP. I went on into Argo and found that at night it looks very ugly. I got dark corners, and the textures look a bit uh out of place. I can't describe it but perhaps the contrast is messed up. I have no idea and I'd rather get someone who knows what they're talking about to provide some uhm assistance. The ENB I got had multiple sections. I chose the one that was for SAMP. It does work for Singleplayer from what I saw but the original single player files look much better as the SAMP one cut out a couple things. I'm using the SAMP one yet the game looks like... weirdish. The images below should show you.

So if anyone could help out that'd be great as I don't have much expereince with ENB and why it decides to screw up SAMP for me.

Me too :neutral2: , if you want to fix that, delete the mod and back to the normal game

I'd rather not. Perhaps someone can figure out why ENB likes to act like this and if there's a work around.

You have the resolution set on x16 color bits, switch it to x32 (example is 1080x1920x16, needs to be 1080x1920x32)

As for the darkness, you'll have to learn how to make adjustments in the ENB settings file.

I don't know how it got set to 16 but it's at 32 however the game still looks weird.

The reason I don't think changing the enb file would do anything is simply because the Singleplayer looks just fine yet SAMP gives a Completely different display.

This one is from SAMP: http://postimg.org/image/6homa2qib/ (http://postimg.org/image/6homa2qib/)

This is from Single Player: http://postimg.org/image/ow05mdo5b/ (http://postimg.org/image/ow05mdo5b/)

Remember that I'm using the SAMP ENB. The one that is like the Single Player but without the problems yet for some reason this the SAMP one is compatible with Single Player yet not with SAMP.

Edit: Eslams I don't think that I have a Stream Memory issue. People look very dark like a shadow (silhouette) and the game looks a bit darker then it should which is odd considering Single Player looks just fine.

Not every ENB version works with SA:MP which looks to be the case with whatever one you downloaded or tried to edit.  If you want advice stop using it and stick with the default look.

Yes, except this version explicitly said. "If you're using SAMP, use the following folder. Which I did." ENBZ by MartyMcfly. I'll just uninstall it if I can't get a fix out of it by today.

I used that one before, you must have installing in wrongly somehow. Best way is to remove every ENB-related file and try installing it again.

You can also try to see if there is some ENB-files in virtual store, sometimes there is a file there even if you deleted it from your GTA San Andreas Directory and it can mess up if you take a new ENB.

Thanks for all the help but ENB simply doesn't want to work for me. I'm not going to bother anymore and just stick with what I got, although having it on Single Player was quite fun for a while.
