Intergrated isnt good for Gaming
-
Not only for gaming, just if you'll ever want to change a card to a better one, you won't be able to do it..
-
If the motherboard has a AGP or PCI-Express porn inside, you will be able to do it by adding a new card.

what a typo
-
cool xcasio, but can you take a look at the MB specs?
its the one on the left side
http://www.nvidia.com/page/gpu_mobo_tech_specs.html
PCI-Express 1x16
2x1
will that do it?
cause i wanna get a Geforce2 7600+ series or somthing to play battlefield 2 with good graphics and no lag
thats my fav game of all time.

Also, i found this from a site
PCI expansion 1 PCI slot (occupied) 1 PCI-E x16 slot (available)
honestly, im not gonna pay 1.5k for a 600 dollar PC, im gonna return it soon and spend about 800 for a gaming PC

Well, if i have similiar question, about specs should i ask them in this topic, or make a new one? Well, inform me ASAP if i need new topic for it...
Intel Core2 Duo E6750 2,67/4M
DDR2 1GB 6400-800 Apacer X2
Gigabyte GAP35-DS3L s.775 ATX
256MB Club 3D HD 3850 PCI-E
HDD 320GB WD SATA-II 16MB
DVDRW Liteon 20A3H LS 20x
MD Chief BG-02B-B-SL 450W
FAN 92x92 AC AF9225
9 in 1+ID Cardreader 3,5"
-
Guys if its over these specs
2.6Ghz Intel
128MB nvid FX 5600
AC97
512 Ram
80GB Internal
its a good computer!
-
256MB Club 3D HD 3850 PCI-E
Get 512MB 8800GT instead, and make sure it's a newer model with a bigger fan (unless you enjoy a 30dB noise)
Watti, read on the Megahertz myth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megahertz_myth). For example, my 2.4GHz quadcore kicks a 3.0GHz P4's ass.
-
yeah.. 8 Series will be obsolete as of next month, do not but a 8 Series as of now.
-
Damn, I read the topic title and thought I was going to be giving an opinion on a pair of glasses :/
They're good...

Get rid of Vista ASAP.
My opinion.
Otherwise good specs. What are you gonna do with it.
-
Vista Has its flaws.. but it is good for Family usage Word and so on.. not for Gaming

...And your proof being?

Some of us wont be able to afford a 9 series -_- at leaste not straight away.
anyway heres my specs;
CPU: Amd Athlon 64 X2 6000+
GPU: Nvidia Gefore 8600GT
Memory: 2 X 1GB
Motherboard: AMD Am2 Gigabyte Sli S4
HDD: SATA 320gb
-
lol =]... then buy the cheaper 9 Series thats the same price as the best 8 series you can afford
-
And make sure you get a motherboard that will last for "yonks".
Well, that's not gonna be too long as far as computer modding goes, but oh well..

Make sure that your motherboard have a high FSB for good prestanda, to low and it will end in a slowdown for your computer. I reccomend 1333 Mhz FSB if you arent gonna do something wich takes enormous prestanda.

My External is a 12500 RPM :D 320GB
Thats why i can play games from it

Not if it's USB (and it probably is: then I suggest you install your games on a internal hard disk for much better performance)
-
Doug :) its USB... BUT...
i play games with out it lagging from the External.. :)... So .. Considering its 12500 RPM..
umm ittl work :)... BTW Doug i got 2 Internals.. One 7000(C:/) and one i think its 5200 RPM(backup)
So yea
-
USB 2.0 transfer speed is still horrible compared to an internal IDE/SATA connection: using an internal (or eSATA) will result in better performance.
-
Get 512MB 8800GT instead, and make sure it's a newer model with a bigger fan (unless you enjoy a 30dB noise)
And costs double as much

They dotn even exist... 12500 RPM drives... expescially for USB, that would require much much way more power then a USB cable can safley use
-
expescially for USB, that would require much much way more power then a USB cable can safley use
USB hard disks (containing a physically spinning device) use an external power source instead of the USB cable
-
Ok.. even at that thres no HDD at 12,500 RPM. highest for any extrernal drive is 7200, Internal 10,000
-
Vista Has its flaws.. but it is good for Family usage Word and so on.. not for Gaming
Sorry.. i replied like very slow :P
Umm... Vista is better for gaming then XP.. just bad at everything else compared to XP..
-

Although it requires better hardware to run games at the same settings as XP...?
-
Its because Vista uses DX10, XP is DX9
-
And why do you think i stick with vista? :D
All you XP people will be in the past D:
i will be tasting the candy AND seeing it too :D (gameplay and DX10 GFx)

2.6Ghz Intel - mine = idk
128MB nvidia FX 5600 - mine = same
AC97 - mine = WTF?
512 Ram - mine = 2gb
80GB Internal - mine = 30gb(80 gig at start)
and I like Haydens PC(it sounds kick-ass)
PS RPM?
-
RPM - Revolutions Per Minute
Its how many time per minute the disk spins.
The faster = the faster your harddrive spits out the information your PC needs when it asks for it, thus having better performace.
:ps: Did you know a dental drill spins at 500,000RPM?
Like, for example.
IF you have a 8800 Ultra, 4 gigs of DDr2, & a quad core(may god forgive you if you did)
And you have 1 Harddrive that spins at 5000 RPM.
You will have a slower PC, because you have good hardware, but your harddrive cannot give your PC the information it needs fast enough, which comes to lag & other stuff.
You do not need to go out and purchase a Western Digital Rapter from Sata, with 10,000 RPM's, you will benefit from it, but a HDD with a 7200 RPM will do just fine.
-

Hayden's been pissed in the eye (assuming that he thought it was a gaming computer): he's got probably the world's worst graphics card that's still being sold in some form (in this case, integrated).
Warned by Sickness: Seems your being a bit randomly hostile.. Stop
-
nope, wrong doug :)
This oen works, its a very good PC, but not for the games i wanna play, i.e BF2, Cod4, etc.
Yes, i admit i got ripped, but its not bad, cause im only paying like 40 every 2 weeks for it.
:ps: he was talking about my new PC.
Look in Off topic, under 'What are some good games' you will see the specs :D

hmm.. your a bit wrong :)
RPM oly controls loading time, once everything is loaded, it all depends on the RAM. RAM holds information for a limited time (until a program is closed). so if you want faster overall gameplay, you need faster RAM
-
Yea and drive speed plays a factor in it all too :)
-
no.
-
I hate you :(
-
Sickness...
I have a 5500 7200 and a 12500 RPM HD on this computer..
I cant play SA on 5500 with out lag but i can play with out lag on th rest it takes 500MB 20 mins to get from the 7200 and 12500 .. But it takes 16 minutes from the 5500 to the 7200 and 10 mins to the 12500.... Thus.. it does affect the reading and righting So If your righting something on the Disc it takes a longer time than taking it off... :)... Yes the RPM Does affect the Loading time... no Once every thing is loaded... It can lag still Because it is reading the information Still... It doesnt store it on the ram... But it stores the most important parts of that Game... Say the gta3.img file :) and it reads it and then reads the hard drive for more info
-
im saying that RPM speed controls loadign time, and no.. you can ahve a 1 RPM hard drive and 2 gig of 6400 RAM ,
compared to a 60,000 RPM hard drive and 512mb 6400 RAM, the 2 gig system will be much faster..
only if your ram cant hold all the information (under 1.5 gigs generally) it will load real time (which loads and unloads as you move throughout the game and is bad)
-
no.
The Source engine is very hard disk active even when all the resources are loaded, and so are some other game engines, so hard disk speed is a small factor.
-
Takling about GTA SPecs?
I play with 1.8 GHZ Sempron 3000+
512 RAM
Geforce FX 5200
HDD 160 GB
I do NOT got problem playing GTA:SA with these specs. Whoever said if its a 5600 or higher, tahts lied.
GTA:SA runs fine with a Geforce 4 as well.
I did not get a modded PC etxept for the graphics card.
-
Yoshi.. 5600 is better.... :))) but 5200 will play it fine
-
I am just saying the requirements as of experience thats needed to play without lag
-
Geforce FX 5200
Welcome to ze team :D
-
i had a 5200 :D i bought another one :D... 5600
-
Welcome to ze team :D
I am not in your team ^^ Never was, Never will be:P
