So the thing is, I've installed Linux Ubuntu 14 on a laptop that I mostly use for working such as Word documents, presentations and so on. I like Linux, it just seems somewhat faster and much more comfortable to use. It somewhat also feels a lot more modern, this is why I love it.
But my only complaint is, and yes, you guessed it - compatibility. I don't really need much compatibility for the laptop with Ubuntu that I use for work since it has LibreOffice and thats pretty much what I need. It would be handy to get iTunes to work on Ubuntu though, but oh well. The thing is, I'd like to switch my main desktop computer, which at the moment is running Win 10, to a Linux based OS too, probably Zorin OS 9. I not much of a gamer anymore but I still play games from time to time. I tried Zorin on my laptop before and I saw that it's much better with compatibility than other distros, but I wonder if Zorin OS is capable of running Valve's Source Mods, Steam Games and newer video games too? Thanks. Awaiting for answer.
P.S: A happy Linux over Windows user.

I don't run Ubuntu 14, but I do run Elementary OS which is built on Ubuntu's Kernel (12.04 LTS). Compatibility is a key reason I still use Windows as my main system. I like to play games that simply cannot run on a Linux kernel without massive tweaking which I really don't have the time to do. One thing is for sure, you do need to still have some minimal terminal knowledge to use Linux effectively. I use dual booting however in order to switch between the two.

Try Banshee or Amarok, they're very similar to iTunes.

I was able to play Dota 2 for Linux just fine on my Debian-based Crunchbang install last year.
