While the first one might be decent it just lacks alot of content, whereas Payday 2 is being updated and has a shit ton of DLC free and paid to get stuck into. Not to mention there is plenty more to do in terms of heisting. You can play the first one if you want but I know I'd rather play the second.

Old Hoxton Breakout trailer pulled from the Crimefest stream yesterday. He got jailed during the first game and his alias was used by Dallas younger brother during the second.

Should help you out, worked for a few others who had same problem. Do make sure anti-virus or whatever is off or on silent mode.

If it still don't work then search the Steam Forum some more.

It said that for me too, but when I started downloading it, the download size was 7.9 GB. I guess it extracts to around 29 GB though.

Day Five of Crimefest.
Skills that weren't used or deemed to worthless were removed and replaced by skills that the player's wanted. Everyone's skilltree was reset and the points spent so far refunded along with the money spent on them. Perk Decks introduced as ways to benefit your whole crew, four types to choose from each with their set purpose. Perk Points are earned from XP and converted, only one deck can be activated at one time.

New equipment added in the form of a Armour Bag which allows you to switch between different sets of armour, handy for those that stealth heists and fail and have to go guns blazing with suits now you can strap up and easily take on waves of cops.

Overkill released a fair amount of free in-game DLC -
- Framing Frame Day 1 Only
- Old Hoxton Breakout (looks like there's more of this to come judging by how it ends)
- A Spas-12 Gauge complete with attachments.
- Day and Night feature
- John Wick character straight from the John Wick film and a compact Chimano Custom Pistol and a new Knife.
- Perk Decks and skill tree re-vamp. Brought the very nice addition of Akimbo handguns as-well as new equipment.
- Clown masks, mask from new studio who joined Overkill to help create more DLC and the new Hoxton mask

Join the Payday 2 Steam group so you can get the DLC. If you have then it should have downloaded the latest update and you should have it.
Old Hoxton character shouldn't need unlocked just switch to him in the character menu.

Well it says I need to complete the Hoxton Breakout Heist to unlock the Hoxton character, and great I wasn't in the Payday 2 Steam Group for some reason, sure I joined it before, so now I've missed all the free DLC.. :rolleyes:
