Title: Laptop broke (?)

So I was just chatting in TS and then I went to the kitchen and when I cane back my laptop had froze so I force-restarted it and now it says;

"RECOVERY

Your PC needs to be repaired
The Boot Config Data file is missing some required info."

I'm really bad with this so please do help!

You happen to have any Recovery discs of the laptop?
Which OS was running on it?
Which model laptop is it?
Can you access Safe Mode (Recovery menu on Windows 8/8.1)?
