Instead of the current system where business owner can decide whether he pays the delivery guy or not, the delivery guy automatically gets a small reward for doing their job. (I mean come on, why would I pay a delivery guy instead of outright killing them to avoid paying, or just use someone I know to deliver for me for free?) :D
The number doesn't need to be anything big, maybe like 50-250 bucks depending on how much was delivered.
-
I think its good idea
-
Only downside to it is that people can make their own deliveries if they're alone ingame.
Meaning you can order a stock worth of like $5 and get an automatic payment of $50-$250.
Unless you use percentages to determine the amount the trucker collects, based on the amount of stock that has been ordered.
Otherwise it'll only end up in abuse.

Pre-cautions:
1) Delivering to your own business gives no salary
2) % based reward depending on stocks bought, with reward being zero when too little is ordered.
To make up a decent (and fair!) % system for the reward/stocks bought, we'd need to know how much a piece of stock costs and create system around that.
The math is real, Stormeus we need you!

A much simpler way would be to charge the biz owner with an additional "Delivery Charge" on the /buystock command.
The trucker gets that money on delivering.

Would the Delivery Charge be dependant on how much the delivery guy is delivering or just a base amount for all deliveries? And yes, I just used delivery word 4 times in one sentence.

The trucker is capable of destroying the truck or deliver it to a competitor business.
I prefer that the trucker should not know the worth of stock he is carrying, so static base delivery charge seems like a good idea.
Also, it is easier to script. :D

But he wouldn't know the worth of the stock until he gets paid, which should happen at the time of /deliver, instead of /buystock.

Makes sense.

Good idea. Since you guys suggested delivery charge - I think it should be 20% of the cargo's worth - 12% for the business, 8% for the trucker who delivers the cargo. Seems fair to me.

The business is not going to get paid for ordering stock. Never.
Only trucker will be paid for the delivery, as he is the guy doing the job.

Why would the business get paid?
