Argonath RPG - A World of its own

Hello.
The purpose of this topic is not to point fingers and neither is my intention. I have greatly believed that raising awareness and talking issues out is the best solution to most problems and punishments must be sought only when it's impossible to reason with the people in question.
Over the past few weeks I have noticed certain people go "off the leash", believing that certain rules do not apply to them, just because they're on the side which has more administrators in it. Well let me remind you, that being in a certain clan does not make you above the rules and you must follow them regardless, and I'm pretty sure that your leaders would pretty much tell you the same.
Rules such as no copbaiting, car-killing, healing in combat and deathmatching are community-wide enforced rules, and it does not matter what your opinion on them is, you must obey them.
I'm just tired of seeing certain people think that they are untouchable, and if these people won't pay attention to this, I'll go on reporting spree, taking videos and screenshots. Thank you for your attention and see you in Vice City.

Your signature does not have anything to do with what I'm posting. I'm just raising awareness that Argonath Community rules shall be obeyed.
I'd also be very thankful if people who do not play VC:MP would refrain from posting their feelings and opinions. This concerns only the VC:MP section of Argonath RPG.

Do not mind my post but I can surely tell you that SA:MP in that case is no any different with VC:MP.
However, very well said. I'm a witness to all of those things you mention. :)

healing in combat
Since when is this rule being enforced, it never was a big deal since it always happened on both cop side as well as criminals.

It has come to my notice that you only seem to dislike this "rulebreaking" when it is happening to you personally.
I'm not saying that you are wrong with what you post, but the intention doesn't have my likings. Often when something "funny" happens to another player which is secretly a rulebreak, for example me carkilling Cerbero to death, you're the first one shouting LOL in mainchat.
My point is that you're acting different in every situation, and start talking about the rules only when it benefits you yourself. As I feel like you're talking about me also when you speak about going "off the leash", I felt like replying with my opinion.
I'll say it again here, because you probably already forgotten it by now: I am not saying you're wrong.
Oh and by the way, your reply on Sweeper's post is also inappropriate, no need to educate him about what SA:MP and VC:MP is, you're not in the position to do so.
My advice is to start looking at yourself before looking at others, nobody is perfect you know.

LOL, I do not mind people car killing me for lulz, as long as it is for a joke with no bad or abusive intentions, nevertheless rules are rules and players should abide by them.

If Cerbero is okay with you car-ramming him, then it's his problem. He's an admin and if he chooses not to punish you for an obvious rulebreak - that's his problem, and I am not in a position to question his decision. He has earned that position and it's his own responsibility what he does with it.
However, I do not take kindly of anybody taking rules. Whether be it against me or him. Hence this topic. Whathever you're saying does not void the fact that you MUST obey the rules, WHATEVER your opinion on them is.
Since when is this rule being enforced, it never was a big deal since it always happened on both cop side as well as criminals.
It's not a choice whether to enforce it or not. Every Argonath server has two sets of rules. The first set is the server side rules which are enforced only by the specific Argonath server (for example the 3 vehicle rule that used to be enforced in VC:MP), while the second set is universal, community-wide Argonath rules that every server has obey and have no choice on whether obey it or not. This is a full list of Argonath community rules: http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?title=Argonath_Rules.
Healing in combat falls under the script abuse rule, since you're abusing a script to avoid death. For example like yesterday, there was a whole department on one criminal and had almost killed him when he suddenly ran into a food shop and healed himself. That's rulebreaking, unfair and disrespectful to the cops, since they were trying their best to take him down and he just goes abuses a script, healing himself.
All in all, VC:MP is a relatively small community, therefore we are all one big family, and ofcourse, having some fun and joking around once in a while is no crime as long as both sides are okay with it. However, when I'm working my best to catch a criminal after a very long chase and am about to take him down and then I get car-killed out of the blue, that's not something I'll be happy about. Nobody would be.

And this is where you f**ked up. As I said in my previous post, you only seem to start caring about the rules when something bad happens to you yourself.
So either draw a line where you always care about the rules no matter what situation, or you stop acting like the world's against you when something happens you dislike.
This isn't a kids club, it's a community.
I remember VCPD officers ramming a criminal to death with a car because they couldn't stop him on foot, an ARPD officer shooting a criminal who surrendered to death and so on, you gonna report them too then I suppose?

It definitely does.

Rules does not only concern this section.

You say this happens but you give no name. Send me a forum PM with detailed information as to who, when and how and I will investigate it. Instead of making useless topics that actually are meant to point fingers, you could do something constructive, like say, REPORT THE PERSON(S) IN QUESTION TO ME OR KLAUS.
If this topic continues with the "you did this and he did that and I did nothing" or whatever, I'll lock this topic.

I don't know when that happened. Never saw a single VCPD officer from today doing so. But if I'll see one, yes, I'll report one.

You're now throwing unjust accusations against me. I am not having any intention to report anyone. I want to remind people of the fact that rules are supposed to be followed by everybody, regardless of who you are.
Actually, THIS IS much more constructive than going on a report spree. Actually trying to get people to stop instead of trying to get people banned is much more constructive, atleast in my opinion. I have risen an issue in a constructive, positive manner, trying to make people aware and avoid getting reported in the future, and instead, I'm being attacked and accused of ridiculous things by people who are trying to justify their rulebreaking by any means necessary. I didn't even have to point fingers. These people just pointed fingers at themselves by their own.
It definitely does.
No it does not, this is exactly why I kindly asked people not from VCMP to stay out of the topic, because you're unfamiliar with the situation and are therefore making statements based on what you think and feel, not on what the situation actually is. There is no favoritism. Admins do their work properly. It's just that when admins are not aware, some people feel untouchable.

How is it script abusing, you run to a food shop, pay for food to get healed, just like as you would pay a normal medic for treatment (death evading is something different but that didn't happen at all). If the cops are unable to kill the criminal then it is their problem and not to be blamed on the criminal who is playing smart.
Besides at the same situation I did see cops healing themselfs when they almost died because I had to run away to not get killed, do you see me whining about it? No, so please quit it.
My 2 cents.

If you saw them healing in the middle of a fight, then you should report them, simple as that. As I said, these are the Argonath rules, and if you don't agree with them, then we will be having a problem.
-
VCMP hasn't enforced this rule since I have been playing here (and there were lots of occasions where this came into play), neither do I care about people healing in a combat zone since I mow them down anyway regardless of their HP. Does it suck when a criminal/cop heals? Yes, but it's completely legitimate as I already said above you're paying for those services. What can be done about this? Work fast and play as a better team so that the criminal doesn't have the time to heal.
-
Healing in combat is disallowed and it has been enforced even with scripts (back in 1.95d, there was a script disallowing players from picking kevlars from HQ to heal in combat, same was with food.
What Brian did, indeed does count as healing in combat and it was dealt with at the situation.
I am not having any intention to report anyone.
So you pretty much feel like you need to open a topic about rulebreaking and then you refuse to report? Ok this topic can be closed now.
It's just that when admins are not aware, some people feel untouchable.
/c report says hi.
TOPIC LOCKED.
