I've been getting PMs about the mayor system in RS5 and i feel like a public clarification about it is needed.
The plan during RS5 Development was to add a mayor system for several reasons but as how things turned out and how we were forced to release RS5 prematurely, it was never finished and has now fallen into the background.
That means that we are not actively working on it at this time and i dont think we will be working on it for some time in the future as there is far more important things we need to fix / do before we go back.
It will be created properly eventually but there is no ETA on when that will be done.

Poor Earl..

What script was the mayor supposed to have?
What about holding the mayor elections and role play everything until the script is ready? Once the script is done, the mayor just gets his/her right. This can happen unless there needs to be a script for the mayor elections?

Honestly, i dont remember anymore what the plan for mayors was but we got it written down somewhere so we can go back to that when we feel the time is right.

The mayor would be gunded by income from business and houses in his city.
A mayor could set tax levels lower as other cities to attract people, or higher to get more funds.
From this he could pay extra to city staff like police or fire department, and hold events.
In general: a mayor should try to attrect people to his city and keep it safe.

What does make you sure that people will leave the most populated city like LS and go to "almost dead" LV or SF? I myself wouldn't really care about taxes if they're lower or not in SF or LV than LS. :P
-
That seems fair.. Los Santos is too overcrowed.
-
I dont think people will care about taxes, they'll stay in LS Either way.
-
We still don't know the taxes and the differences, the problem it will be for LS to have the lowest taxes xD imagine that? :P

And that's where I would come in :balance:

Either 3 equally active/populated/usable cities or just one.
