Aight so around 2 hours ago my brother had CLOSED his laptop(shutting the lid off with a small slam when you're pissed) and took it upstairs. He used it for around 10 mins and restarted it(no idea why) and after that this error came up "REBOOT OR SELECT PROPER BOOT DEVICE". I've tried entering the BIOS to take a look at the the Booting structure and it looked normal. But on the home page of the BIOS it said "HDD/SSD not present". It kinda came up from no where, Did the HDD die on him? or is it something different?
Thanks in Advance.

Have you tried taking out the drive and putting it back in to see if it's connected? He could have possibly pushed it out of the slot but it's worth trying even if it's rare to occur.

Sounds like something has been dislodged or damaged somewhere, especially something to do with the hard drive.
I'd not turn it on at all and make sure the HDD is in properly - be careful, a pin from the hard drive may bent or broken. Push it in gently.
If that doesn't help, go to someone in the real world.

So i thought maybe reinstalling windows would help but I figured that it said there is no HDD connected

Since it is a laptop, remove the HDD cover (under the laptop, most laptops have the possibility to changing the HDD yourself), check whether it is in place, remove and re-connect it if necessary. Close the cover and try again.

I guess for this laptop i'll have to remove the whole cover since there is no designated cover for HDD. I'll report back ASAP, i might take it to the provider.
