Identity is a modern-day open-world MMORPG for PC and Mac with complete freedom to do almost anything you can imagine at any time in first or third person views.  Live as an honest civilian, a criminal, police officer, paramedic and many more.  There are no levels or skill grinding, but talent and perk progression so that it’s the actions of you, not your character, which matter most.

Looks like a amazing game but i wont hype up too much about it if it's gonna be run through a kickstart founding.

Sim city, GTA V, Skyrim, Sims 3 FPS Style in on game.....this looks DOPE!!!!

From what I saw on the trailer, couldn't this all be done in GTA V with a multiplayer mod? Plus, they really didn't get much money from the kickstarter campaign, far from what it takes to develop a game, if they don't get some investors, seeing as this is a very ambitious game, similiar to GTA V, this really won't live up to the hype.

They've planned their budget and set the goal according to that, lets hope for the best :P

Kickstarter Project so wouldn't hold to much hope for it, game does look nice though.

Many kickstarted games have failed because they underestimated how much money they needed. $150k USD is a really small amount of money to develop a game of this scale, that's maybe a 2-3 devs salary for a year, and you need a lot more than that for a game like this.

Obviously its not enough money, but the kickstarter projects are never just about money. Kickstarter projects are used to check how the public feels about the game, they are planning to develop. And obviously if the kickstarter project fails, they will know the idea is bad and they wouldn't begin development in total. Since its one thing to make a very limited scene of the game for demonstration to show few cool stuff, they are planning to make and its a whole other thing to develop the game completely.

As well they are well aware $150K are not enough, hence why they wrote this at the end of their kickstarter project:
"We need you! Identity is going to cost a lot more than $150,000 to produce; our Kickstarter campaign is a proof-of-concept to several investors and with its success we'll have the funding we need."

This is indeed a nice project. Let's hope they can achieve it fully. The release is not expected before 2017 though.
