Hi,

So I installed IV again after a few years of not playing it since I wanted to start modding it again but it seems like I can't get it to even run. Installed it as usual but when I try to run singleplayer nothing happens. I get a small black screen but then it disappears and nothing. Tried googling some about the issue and found a few posts about this issue saying it doesn't work on W8/W8.1 so there is no point trying, is this true?

Tried running it as admin and in compability mode for W7 but nothing.

Not really, I had it worked on W8.1. Try downloading and installing the latest Games for Windows-LIVE client from Microsoft's xbox website.

Download the "Games for windows"
and it will be run i promise :D :D
