I just would like all you guys to go to Single Play and change the resolution from that annoying 800x600 to 1152x864 or sumtin. Usually there will be viewed only 6 lines of text in the chat window, but when you change the res, it will go up to 9 lines. I incist this to everyone who are cursing when they weren't quick enough to read the friend's message before it was vanished from the screen. Not for supaslow computers but I recommend this!

i just tested it does work! awsome :) Thanks now i wont have to exit chat just to know who ron just banned :p
-
LOL thanks i didnt think it would work ... same reason as shaheen.. or why i was kicked... or banned
-
Not all resolutions changes are good for all...
Some computers will be crash and GTA VC itself will not start working...
The one stable for all computers resolution is 800x600...
Your suggestion can lead to the non-stop complaines "I have a black screen when my game starts"...
I checked it already... The first times it is normal, then it crashes... I had to install Gandalf's user files to bring back the normal 800x600 resolution, because I could not even change it in game options, and the one way to solve it was - reinstall GTA or get user files from friend... And after it I already had no any problem...
When u are kicked - you can easy check the WHOLE logs in your mta chat file or in MTA window...
This is how I check the history of some problems on server...

VC doesnt load that fast with a higher resolution .. but the chat is way to smaller righting
-
i have to say that mta did make a horrible mutli, samp is awsome! but i dont know where they wont into doing such things with low chat lines and etc.
-
but the problem is... if some one gets banned just look up in the logs.. simple
-
how many chat lines does samp have? i tihnk the same but what i saw was a mod that has a ^ button to back trackwhat people said the last 10 lines so you keep your resolution and your chat. point being is that it still dosent matter as long as you do keep your chat log but for me it does not work so it causes some complications for people
-
when some one gets banned ... i just check logs see who it was then go back ingame

Incase you set an resolution and VC is not responding anymore:
Go to the "My Documents" folder, and open "GTA Vice City User Files". Delete gta_vc.set and all your settings are back to default.
I run VC on 1280x1024 (though it looks ugly because my widescreen monitor makes text look a bit ugly in non-native resolutions)

i honestly dislike widescreen monitors. i tried it once when i got sa and vc and it looks soo ugly. the cop car looks like a box and the player looks like hes been sandwhich-ed
