I thought it will be fun to see in what type of cities other members live. Post a picture of your city and it's name. You can also post some interesting sides of your city, they can be cultural or something funny or something you just saw and you find it cool and wanna share it with us, it doesn't matter  :bananarock:

Living in a little city with 100k people. The city is known for being the capital of Northland and home of students, there is around 40,000 people studying at Umeå University and we also have one police academy. We got Europe's biggest Sport center with 3000-4000 daily visitors and 21000 sqm in area!

Umeå is known historic to be settlers city build to gain taxes to the king in the early 17th, the town was build to populate the northern part of Sweden. The city has been burned down 3 times in total, 2 times by the Russians and the last time(1888) due a lack of fire fighters.

The elderly guy you see in the beginning is a VERY famous person within our state. A famous basketball player (hardly) also appears in the video, and the (then) Governor of the state.. who was one of the state's best.

We were the first state to declare independence from the United Kingdom. We have the United Sate's most relaxed gun laws, despite belief on guns, we're also 6 years (I think) running as the safest state in the country to raise a family and considered the best state in the country based on crime, income per capita, and education. We're one of few states without a sales tax, income tax, seatbelt laws, or a motorbike helmet law. Also nothing fun to do... just woods and more woods followed by more f**cking woods.

We also have one of the longest running, and largest, "Bike Weeks" in the country.
