As some of you may know, stormeus posted to VC:MP forums that 0.3z(R2) masterlist is being taken down to push players to use 0.4 client, which received huge updates. (Source: Stormeus' post (http://forum.vc-mp.org/?topic=448.0))
Argonath's 0.3zR2 server will stay online even after the masterlist shutdown (May 1st) and you can connect to it through favorite tab (you need to add the server 5.196.21.61:5192)
We're currently still working on the 0.4 server, but more than likely it will not be released when the 0.3z masterlist goes down.
I'll keep you guys posted on the 0.4 server progress when there's something to tell :)

Well technically our main scripter is still missing in action due to other responsibilities, though we're no longer soely relying on his contribution.

0.3 server has been shut down due to Argonath supporting the move to 0.4 client.
We're hoping to have a script ready for release in 0.4 soon, but I still can't make any promises. Currently we have most of the basics covered, but not all of them that are required for a server release :(

Just an addition, when there's significant progress made I'll tell you guys. At the moment the progress is slow due to scripters being busy.

Oh well.. I guess we've made some progress since the last post, sorry for the long silence. Things were going quite slowly for sometime, but it seems a wind of change blew right over us and things started progressing at a decent pace. However, I still cannot make any promises as to when the server is release ready :(

We're currently working on creating scripts for the new client and we should be ready not too far into the future :)
Soon we will also upgrade any and all information topics and revise the server rules to fit the new client better, as well as just the gameplay itself.
Worthy of noting; when we release the server it will not be at it's full potential, but it won't start out as beta either. Server will have it's basic features required to run a server and more will be implemented along the way.

i would suggest more jobs like:
Trucking...., VCPD, VCFD, EMS..., Hooker (More rpish way), Hitman jobs.., etc... etc.... or a Citizenship thing more like CMB..., a driving school?
other then jobs, you should make it on the internet category, so more pepole could join

All those jobs were already present thousands of mileages ago. VCPD, VCFD and EMS were always there.. I think you have not made any research into VCMP server before posting this.. VCMP server dates back to 2007 or something like that. Its just that we are upgrading the client.

There will be no beta. When we release the server it won't be in beta. Beta tests are done with the developers and admin team.

Done, Done, FD will not have scripted missions atleast in the start of the server but you can roleplay one, Done, you can roleplay a hooker so done, you can roleplay a hitman so done, CMB will not be part of VC:MP, nor will driving school (atleast at this point)

If we can find a way that 1) involves multiple players 2) isn't a complete money munchers day dream and 3) if we find a nice way to create one with using the new features of 0.4 :D

It is rather unfortunate. Though as updates are quite frequent there is a chance they'll become possible in the near future.

That would require us to 1) keep resetting the vehicle's HP all the time to keep it burning 2) the script would need to detect when a car is low hp 3) the script would need a % based chance as to when the fire will stay.
This could be nice script, yes, but it could also backfire performance wise.

These kinds of systems are not easy to make, and take time to script. They likely want to focus on getting the initial release out first before adding massive features or changes like that.

I believe someone found a successful way to do this a long time ago in 0.3zr2, however I'm not sure how well it would work in 0.4, nor am I aware of the performance of it. If 0.4 supports fire objects without causing damage, you *might* be able to float one over the vehicle's hood. Stormeus could probably give better insight into something like this, though, as he is involved in the mod's development itself.

No no no, its not what I meant. I meant like the car would blow up and could despawn, but the area where it blew up would spawn fire or something like that.

You're talking about a vehicle explosion causing a fire. They were talking about just a vehicle on fire.

We did take huge leaps in progress implementing entire features and we're still ironing out the bugs. We do still not have a ETA of server release, but we do have good pace currently.

Server's currently in the phase of "Admin testing" (pretty much closed beta for admins) and when we think we're ready to release the server, you'll get access to it aswell (not that in this point it wouldn't be a beta).
We're really hopeful about releasing the server within a week.
