Your in-game name:
Jack
Ban reason as was stated in-game:
Just here to DM.
Admin who banned you:
=AV=Kaseem
When you were banned:
17-05-2015
Additional notes:
I was banned for "Just here to DM." by kaseem as I was in a vehicle with JackB and JackB started killing someone. JackB then stepped back in the vehicle and we were both banned for that reason even although I myself did not fire a shot at anyone neither was i breaking any rules myself. He was in the vehicle with me, and thats apparently the reason why I got banned for the same reasons.
I don't condone any of JackB's actions and I'm not saying his ban was not legit, however I don't see how I was doing the same even seeing that I did not deathmatch anyone or break any other server rules.
-
Driving someone around so that he can DM people is not rulebreaking?
-
I wasn't looking to cause a scene, JackB was with me as I was showing him around and he decided to rulebreak. Administration had warned him and he decided to continue, which is why his ban is completely legit. I however didn't participate in the deathmatching itself and I was hoping JackB would stop after he was first warned. He however decided to continue, without me being involved other than being next to him but the second time he decided to DM we were both immediately banned for the same reason.
-
For the reason I banned as I thought you where adding JackB with the dm. Thanks for saying that you had no relations with JackB when this happened.

Would we find anylogs where you request him not to DM, or are we likely to find you laughing about his actions?
-
You would find neither. I wasn't promoting or recommending his behaviour but I'm not his babysitter either. If he decides to rulebreak, theres a perfectly capable administrative team able of handling and judging his actions. My intention after his second attempt to deathmatch was to report him to the administrator that had warned him before-hand but before I had the chance to do so I was already banned for the same reason.

I hope you understand that the team also looks at people surrounding the player, and if it looks like they are involved they will act accordingly. If you like to have less rulebreakers on server you should try to help out by warning them or stopping to facilitate them, not by leaving it to the administration to use their tools.
I hope you understand that if someone is reported for DM several times over 30 minutes and is constantly with the same player, the question arises why that player is not a victim of the DM, and the obvious answer is that he is helping out.
-
Thats very understandable and I understand that administration was interested in my involvement, as I was directly involved by having JackB with me. I do however want to make clear that I was not involved with any of the rulebreaking or any of JackB's actions and administration would have noticed that if they were spectating or checking the chatlogs. I feel like i was accounted for just the same things JackB did, even although I did not involve myself in any of the things he was doing other than simply being in a car with him.

Thanks for the truth. upto managers to unban you

Bad company can lead to bad ideas and even bad expectations.
In this case who you surrounded yourself with made you seem to be a guilty party at the same time.
As a ban is not really necessary in this instance - Unbanned.
