Title: MTA(never seen error)
Post by: PMP on December 24, 2007, 07:47:39 pm
Hi, I finally got inet on my laptop.
I can play SAMP and VCMP(just one prob, the res doesnt change from 640x480 :( ) but i can't play MTA.
Is there some incompatibility to vista?
And the worst thing is that I never saw this error message.
Help me plz.

Both at the same time?
What to install first, MTA or GTA?

GTA, install that 1st.

Go in singleplayer and adjust your Resolution.

Then follow that up with MTA, only install it for Vice City, not GTAIII or Server Admin.

To run a program as administrator, right click the icon and press some like "Run as administrator"

Is your resolution problem fixed yet?

Whats the problem?

About the resolution problem:

As far as I have heard, you have set your VCMP compability to Windows 98 / Windows ME.
I am pretty sure that is the thing that causes your resolution to go nuts. Try changing the compability to like Windows XP Service Pack 2. I am sure that will fix it.

Hope it works ;)

Hmm it should be fixable, but at least that fixes your resolution problem. When closing VCMP, hold down Enter untill they are gone.

I will look for a way to remove the errors.

Man i know how to fix this:

You need go to C:/ program files/ Rockstar games/ and right click on folder GTA Vice City, then deselect the option "read only" click apply and click on yes.

Then select you language of Vice City english and PLAY.
