Well, I went online at my friends house who was IP banned, I tried to get in game and then I saw the ban thing... after that my friends said he has an IP ban..

Your friends IP wont be unbanned if they do not post an unban request as for you, your account is not banned if that's the case.
Connect from your own connection and you shouldn't have a problem.
