Title: Cyberbullying and other inappropriate behaviour
Post by: Gandalf on July 12, 2015, 08:12:03 pm
It seems that the topics on cybercullying have in the past been limited to the SA:MP dicusssion boards, however the policy has to be community wide.

1. Should anyone doubt, the leadership and owners of Argonath RPG are against any form of cyberbullying, and when evidence is given will take immediate and harsh mesures. If you feel that certain behaviour of others goes beyind a joke or trolling and you are unable to defend against it, contact the administration, leaders or owners. While we will investigate, if found guilty we will take measures.
This is not limited to in-game, as in many cases people have contact outside the game on Skype or discuss on TeamSpeak. We do not condone cyberbullying in any way and neither should anyone else.

2. Discussions of sexual nature are sometimes included in roleplay, and some of the older players enjoy this more as the minors. While the game is in most countries 18+ we do have to remember that there are many players who are underage, and they should be welcome to play just as anyone else. If you notice that someone is not comfortable with discussion of sexual nature, stop immediately.
Should we find anyone involved in activities like grooming or trying to engage minors in sexual behaviour, we will not hesitate to impose a direct community ban without possibility to return, and we will also engage the law enforcement with whatever data we can provide. This also includes what happens outside the game.

3. We can not watch all things that go on in game or what is discussed outside by Skype or other means. However if you have a concern that someone is involved in illegal activities or are yourself approached, you can at any time contact the leadership. All will be handled confidentially and no information will be given out without permission.

All this does not mean that people will be banned on evey joke or troll. However understand that if the people you are exchanging discussion with are uncomfortable with your jokes or behaviour, you have to stop and change to a more neutral subject.
As long as its fun, we will not interfere, but we will watch out for anyone crossing the limits.

On top of that players shouldn't excuse, sexual behaviour or bullying with "trolling", child mentality should not be touched, and should be valuaed. When ever we are young or old, we should put that up our heads.

It is disgusting that people think they can behave against people due to their personal life; illnesses, sexual preference, race, religion, cast, creed, you name it.

Ultimately it is down to education. We must educate people.

No one here is perfect or the same and this is something that is appreciated at Argonath RPG from the highest level all the way down.

To treat people like they are trash or not worthy due to their differences, is just intolerance.
We need to be more accepting and tolerant of peoples quirks and understand not everything is as clear cut as it seems.

People need to be a lot more tolerant and understanding of peoples situations, they should look to help them and not work against them or dissociate them. Working together and not against each other is best.

Training ourselves to be patient is also useful.

Regarding people with criminally insane thoughts where they wish to involve children in their perverted affairs and fantasies;  it's clear cut, you're gone, and if your friends want to stick up for you or if people wish to insinuate anyone at Argonath RPG goes onto ban people for doing such thing simply to protect its reputation need to think again.

This Community cares for the children that will end up on it and we do not want them to suffer harm whilst they are here.
