Title: Ramming each other at trucking spots.
Post by: Justin39 on July 13, 2015, 08:22:45 am
Hello.

Recently, I've noticed and received many complains of players ramming each other while trucking, a player may be getting his cargo and the other player rams him, then they start ramming each other.  I'm making this topic because it's starting to get annoying, if you can't be PATIENT while the other player is getting his cargo then don't bother trucking at all.  It's also a rule-break as you are ramming another player, so please, be patient while another player is getting his cargo.  Just because he may be getting the 'good ones', meaning the ones that are $1k and up, if he gets them then he does, don't ram your way into the trucking spot just because he may get them first, there are plenty of trucking spots around SA that have good cargos.  Please take this into consideration.

Thanks Justin. I've had people honking and ramming my trailer off whilst i am getting my cargo. I tell them to stop but they don't bother replying.

About time someone payed attention to the Rammers, hopefully this scares them out of ramming :)

Well if that does not, then I guess we(admins) will be re-spawning players trucks and trailers, that is of course if they decide to ram

Well a fact is that those rammers are mostly new players that doesn't even have forum and also have bad english. Also i think that this doesn't need a 'topic' attention. If someone ram you just report and chill.

Most of the people that I've seen trucking have been on the server for a decent amount of time, and are not new.

There's no any difference if they are trucking or not Ramming is prohibited. Source (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=100219.msg1605344#msg1605344)

Personally i have never rammed someone in the trucking spot , i always stand like 15 feet away from him waiting until he is over , and i cheer him when he's there and yea , after he leaves i go in..

i would love if everyone else could act like this.

Meaning that I've seen people that have been in the server for awhile that aren't new do this before, i'm not going to give names out but this is going for everyone, not just certain people.

Greetings. I think that its not their intention to ram each other. They do it accidentally while rushing to trucking spot. If they ram on purpose, then you may do as Ivan said. Report them.

Yeah I've been stuck in the middle of a few truck stop destruction derbies. I'm ok with people squeezing into the spot just dont do it at 100kph lol

Some really do it on purpose arriving at mid-high speed over the red marker (i had some accidents with people ramming and leaving the server after it, of course they were reported). That's why i'm trucking only during night or when there aren't many truckers around.

Just be a good sport and allow others to profit from trucking as well. In that perspective it is like real life road usage, give way to others and others will give you way.

This server has turned into a fucking trucking server, I tell you what to fix this issue, just delete that shitty trucking script, as since its been added I have to go elsewhere to roleplay in which I don't want to.

Some should have patience and wait their turn not ram in just to get a good cargo.  If people are doing it just report and their truck and trailer will be respawned.

Even though i agree with this. There is no way people would've earned the money they have right now before this script. I am pretty sure you've used it for your gains too.

With new features upcoming i doubt that trucking will continue to be the main job. After that will be just vanished.

We have made some minor modifications to the script I think will help with some of the problems:

-> Vehicles which take too much damage will lose their cargo, this will discourage truckers from driving like assholes.
-> Vehicles will be stopped immediately when they enter the area (rather than driving uncontrollably)

Someone ramming? Report them. Simple.

What area?

And great, glad this update took place.

Indeed, but I have to point out before the trucking script for example in RS4, everyone earnt money the better way, in which was drugs, why cannot people go back to that? Be a mafia don't be truckers, I don't see Tony Montana driving around in a truck earning money.

Just remember this is a RP server you will never need cash to RP.

Spit it out.

Don't turn this into a fight.

Lets not forget the fireman script. Everyone basically was a fireman or someone who ran around weed spots growing and selling with little to no roleplay involved.
