Title: AMD Catalyst control center doesn't start
Post by: AhmadLov on August 27, 2015, 09:54:30 pm
Hello, ive installed a windows 8.1 pro 64x and i start to have some issues , the main one was when i was trying to download a driver for my AMD 7700 gpu but it failed, tried many links and setup's , it gives me the NSIS error when trying to run the setup, even when i dragged the setup to the black CMD box and added the /NCRC command after it, it crashes in the middle of the operation , what should I do?

even the AMD auto detector tool says: this app cant run in your PC

Please help me!

Refer towards AMD's support section on their website, there's bound to be some solution/patch or something else of use there.

I already went there, thanks anyway.

Requesting a Lock for this topic since i Fixed the problem, it was the Windows itself, I rolled back to Windows 7 Ultimate 64x SP1, Best windows ever, I dont recommend for anyone to use Windows 8 , 8.1 or 10. Stick to windows 7!

I had no problem with AMD Catalyst on Windows 8.1, and neither on Windows 10 now. There must have been a problem with your specific setup.

But if Windows 7 works for you then just stick with that :)
