Title: QA team
Post by: Teddy on September 09, 2015, 07:33:49 pm: QA is quality assurance, a team of people who will fluidly, actively, and thoroughly test new and existing systems for functional errors, visual errors, and even textual errors. We initally decided to open the test server to everyone which we have since seen was not the best course of action. We will instead trial out a dedicated team of members who will conduct quality testing of scripts and features.

As a member of the QA team you will work under a QA supervisor, and will be responsible for:

* Actively testing new script systems for design flaws, functional errors, visual mistakes (e.g mapping), and UI errors (grammatical errors, sequence, etc)
* Working closely with the development team in order to ensure quality assured systems are pushed to the main server.
* Maintain confidentiality of upcoming systems
* Report any and all design flaws, functional errors, visual mistakes, UI errors, or exploits to the development team.

We will take a team of 5 initially, one of which will be appointed the supervisor and work as a liaison between the rest of the QA team and the development team.

You must:

* Not be banned from any Argonath game server.
* Have played Argonath for at least one month.

Notes: I speak a fluent English, am able to speak and understand English at an advanced-intermediate level( thats what my certificate says, idk levels ). I have worked on /help and am currently working on improving the wiki ( the chat system and the furniture list, though chat system stopped for a while till I get a full view ) by creating some new pages, but also have adapted several pages to RS5.

EDIT: Added this to my application as it suits me enough. I'd be able to make guides in future.

I will pick new QA team members next week, this week the test server is mostly unusable as we're rewriting core features leaving most scripts down at the time so picking people now wouldn't be of any use.

Later on we will invite members of staff, and several different legacy groups into aid in the testing process. Remember, all people who agree to testing also agree to explicit confidentiality.

We will begin our series of testing on Friday / Saturday. Tomorrow I will announce a wave of applied testers.
