Trucking script will be disabled until further notice.
We have found a game breaking bug within the script enabling players to duplicate jobs and essentially farm them over and over for money. We have caught one player so far abusing this and knowingly doing it and failing to report said bug (he managed to gather $70,000 within minutes). Anyone who has been doing this should come forward now before we log check and find out.
-
about time :clock:
-
Lol, this used to happen long ago too.
-
How 70,000$ we can earn in a minute i earn 10k by 1 hour trucking but their will be two to three players that do this i am not sure
-
Good job, don't bring it back.
And ban those who knew.
-
Ya stivivyou are saying correct i am with you
-
Don't bring it back, wait for the business stock one.

Then RIP server population by then.
This bug was there for a VERY long time, i have reported this bug to a manager once and he restarted the script. Basically, no new jobs were occuring so i had to re-use them, this was a very long time ago though and i think developers were aware of this. This was only done once for making sure the script was bugged before asking for a restart. It frequently happened even when administrators were online and everyone classed it as "the script is bugged and needs a restart", i'm not sure if this is the same bug.
-
Nah, I think more criminals will return without THIS trucking script.
Please do let us know how the bug was abused so people like me who haven't trucked in months do know if they abused or not. :)
-
It's about short distance cargos and good timing. The cargo that was recently delivered was still showing on the list for a short time period so you were able to Re-do it over and over again, at least that's was "TheRock" explained me a few months ago.
-
Good logistics save you time, and therefor money

if this is the thing you guys talking about [ That the same cargos that you recently delivered was still showing ] That means i did that manys times because i was think its new thing added to the trucking system didnt know this was the bug lol but i was making like 50k per 1/2 hours not per min ..

Was this a bug? Shit, I actually did it a few times! Not on purpose, tho. I just happened to return to X spot, and find a job(s) I took a while back, and accepted them again... I won't do that again

Make that several players who have also been banned and I am sure there are plenty more if we keep looking through the logs.
-
Might have done it once or twice(?), long time ago tho. Didn't even know it was a bug
-
i'm sure some people become rich because this bug,and they should get punished
-

But im still not sure if this is the bug that they are talking about If this is the bug then you did it i did it everyone whos trucking did it
-
I've done it. A bug as old as the trucking script itself, one you WILL encounter if you spend any time trucking at all. It's so common I thought it was a feature at this point.
-
We're specifically looking at people who managed to complete the same job over 10 times in as little as a few minutes, obviously using some sort of external method to achieve such. We've found a handful of people who did it entirely harmlessly and those people will not be punished.
I am also pushing forward some development plans for more profit avenues in order to compensate the loss of this avenue. These will of course be more productive streams that won't be as farmy as this.

nice, i hope trucking will come back as part of the business restock script.
-
I probably have reported and no one responded so....
err... honestly i did like twenty times.
-
Is there a specific time about the Trucking Job restoration? so we can know when we could get it back..
-
(If) we decide to rectify the issue, there will be no estimate on when it will return. However another form of trucking will be a part of the business script update which is still in the works.
-
I don't know If this is the abuse you guys are talking about.
But I have done this twice so far I think.
It was a long time ago ( one month ago or a bit less )
I once went to Ocean Docks to get some orders , I've picked up an order with 2k (22 tons) payment and delievered it to the logistisc given and came back to the actual point to pick up another order with 1.5k payment , and once i arrived there i have seen the order i picked up the first time , I saw it on the list , carried it and transmitted it again then logged off.
I have had no idea about this being an abuse , but I haven't abused it more than twice.
(Still don't know if this is the abuse you were talking about)
-
The issue is more looking to be people delivering a order somewhere then managing to collect the same one and deliver to the checkpoint they are currently at and doing it over and over with only moving a few feet.
-
Oh , So yeah I am clean.
-
Is this the same bug from earlier where you could pick the same order multiple times without even closing the menu?
-
Also there are few niggas that use some sort of speed hack to "tp" from one trucking spot to another and deliver very fast and deliver the same cargo like 100times. They were doing that when no admins online ( ofc ), I saw one, reported him and as I can see he is in the unban section and I feel good about it. Work hard to gain the cash, don't use that shit to be famous over night.
-
Had no idea that this (another) failure of script existed however by the way I heard that in beginning of RS5 there were similar defects such as fire jobs and some things about profiting of licenses for vehicles and properties without fair costs, will HQ work to reveal those cases as well?
-
I used to abuse this bug once or twice in the beggining of RS5(first week after trucking script release). I dont know if there is any issue, yet... now. It was never 70k within a minute, btw

Licenses obtained through a KNOWN In-Game bug, that lasted for a while, were not removed. We were all let to keep our licenses.

That's not the beginning however there was a similar bug where you could get three or four SAME orders as they weren't getting removed from the list. This is not the case.
-
Somehow that. I cant remember.
-
It's disappointing to see that I had reported the bug back at June and nobody done something until now..

Yes, in which your version of it was very poorly explained I must say because I didn't see the possibility to earn 70k in a matter of minutes with your explanation.
-
I've done it too, but not as much as to win $70k within minutes. More likely I took a job at OD for 2k and deliver to Aldea Malvada/Doherty and return to OD to re-take it. Same as Everett, I always thought this is the way it works, never knew I could be abusing the script.

Indeed I had not explained it very well on the topic, but I had explained it with details over skype.

You've done something entirely different than what we described.
-
I had seen this if it's what i think it is, once while i was trucking i toke a 800$ delivery from Baseball stadium at LV t Los Santos Perching, however i arrived there and delivered the package, from there i toke a 1k mission back to Baseball stadium, when i arrived back and delivered the package the 800$ mission was still there and it was still there as it was marked with a Green color i think it was, however i tried to re-take it and it actually left me to, however i didn't know this was bug but at all i didn't finish the delivery and left my truck right there as i left and toke one of the vehicles that were close and left the Baseball stadium as abadoning my truck, however now i am happy that i left the scene, as i would got my self in pretty much troubles right now.
-
It'll be quite a mess trying to figure out who did it on purpose and who thought that it actually worked that way. I guess HQ's only looking for big numbers, in which case should've been pretty obvious it was a bug.
