Title: Bricked phone.
Post by: Liviu. on October 06, 2015, 10:53:53 pm
Hi, I am using a Allview A5 duo, (RO) , but it's copied from Gionee P2/Primo F2.
Yesterday, I tried to flash another ROM on my rooted phone, I was using the Carliv touch recovery. The installation was done successfully, but after it was done " You have lost root access" . I rebooted my phone, but it failed to. I tried to flash another ROMs that I knew 100% that they were working. The only way to bring it back to 'life' it was my backup, if I flash my backup, it does the same. If I only flash the System part of my backup it proceeds normal, with updating the apps, and gets stuck on "Starting apps" , I left it 10-20 minutes, but it's the same. Please, help asap.

The video that Traser posted applies to Sony phones only (Flashtool is Sony and Sony Ericsson only).

Where did you acquire the ROMs from?

There are plenty, try with Primo F2 or Gionee P2. I tried to install a iOS one, if I remember well.
I can also enter the recovery, bring the phone to fastboot and everything, except running the system.

You do NEVER install a ROM for an original phone at a /COPYcat/ version of it, it may be the same at look, but there are a lot of different things, such as Kernel, Recovery(+if custom), Bootloader etc etc.. which can get it instantly bricked.. Try relying on Google because unless there is no category at XDA with developers focused on the device, I am then sorry to inform you that you bricked this device for good.

If the device has a recovery menu, (such as most devices do) try soft-reseting(factory reset)..
