| History The party grew out of smaller political groups with a nationalist orientation that formed in the last years of the Vietnam War. The man responsible for the unification of these groups and the formation of the ''Free Workers' Committee for a Good Peace as it came to be known was Arnulf Drenger, an avid Argonathian nationalist. Though very small, Drenger's movement did receive attention and support from some influential figures. On 5 January 1989, Drenger created a new political party and proposed it be named the "Argonath Socialist Worker's Party", but Willibrord Ackermann, another promiment member of the party objected to the term "socialist"; the issue was settled by removing the term and the party was named the Argonath Workers' Party (AWP). From the outset, the AWP was opposed to non-nationalist political movements, especially on the left, including the Social Democratic Party of Argonath (SDPA) and the Communist Party of Argonath (CPA). The AWP was a comparatively small group with fewer than 60 members. In 1999, a man named Anthony Playerismus joined the party and quickly rose through its ranks, quickly attaining the rank of Cell Leader. Playerismus later claimed to be the seventh party member (he was in fact the seventh executive member of the party's central committee; he would later wear the Golden Party Badge number one). He quickly became the party's most active orator, appearing in public as a speaker thirty-one times within the first year after his self-discovery. Playerismus' talent as an orator, and his ability to draw new members, combined with his characteristic ruthlessness, soon made him the dominant figure. He was formally elected party chairman on 28 July 2001, with only one opposing vote. For Playerismus, the twin goals of the party were always Argonathian nationalist expansionism and the battling of corruption. As the party gained traction, it formed its own militia, called ''Imperial Legion (IL)'' During 2001 and 2002, the now renamed Argonath Imperial Party (AIP) grew significantly, partly through Playerismus' oratorical skills, partly through the IL's appeal to unemployed young men, and partly because there was a backlash against socialist and liberal politics in Los Santos as Argonath's economic problems deepened and the weakness of the previous regimes became apparent. In 2002, another party with remarkably similar policies and objectives came into power in Argonath, the National Authoritarian Party (NPA) under the leadership of the charismatic Salvatore Monella. Anthony Playerismus and Salvatore Monella had deep respect and admiration for each other, so they decided to join forces. The NPA and the AIP were merged, but the name AIP still remained. In January 2003, Argonath experienced its biggest economic crash. The stock market plummeted and it was only the AIP's ideas that saved Argonath from an almost unavoidable and major catastrophe. |

The vision of the Argonath Imperial Party is the forming of one, united and peaceful ''Great Argonathian Empire''. This Empire will be devoid of corruption and in-fighting. An Empire that is based on the people, and not on the destructive needs of the corrupt few and the usurers. An Empire that will last ten thousand years! Argonath will be the greatest Empire in the history of humankind, for it'll be a pious and glorious era, where the free human spirit (up to the degree that doesn't harm the Empire's stability) will triumph. We will colonize far distant worlds and spread our customs and traditions to the far reaches of this planet and the rest of the Universe. Everyone will stand united, despite race, gender, religion and personal preferance, under the banner of the Argonathian Empire. A People United will never be defeated!!! We will open up our arms to people from other countries that want to live in our magnificent Empire. The Emperor, his Imperial Senate and the various Imperial Government Agencies will serve Argonath and its people, ensuring the Empire's stability and continued peace. Every Argonathian citizen will have a job and his employment will be based on his aspirations, as well as his skills into a suitable job, and based on their social class, they will receive welfare, pensions and subventions. Public mess halls, where food, clothing and medicine will be provided will take place on a regular level. Everyone will be equal, with equal rights and duties in a healthy Empire. Corruption will be battled and everyone who seems to harm the Empire or its common interest in any way will be terminated. Without an economy manipulated by criminals and nefarious, unscrupulous individuals, the average worker will be able to enjoy an improved level of living. Taxes and property values will go down, new business types will be opened, Argonath's rich reserves will be exploited and its biggest privately owned corporations will be made to share their profits with their workers. Privatizations will be made, but the largest corporations will be owned by the government. Workers Unions will be formed, and everyone will be able to be organizes so that they can represent and voice their group's interests, which the government will heed and proceed to satisfy if deemed reasonable. Small-time trade will flourish, as the Imperial Government will deal with small traders internally. The Empire will be self-sustained, relying on its own production and not be dependant on imports. A new system of schools and education will also be instated, with focus on the teachings of practical things and civic affairs, so that children will become good Imperial Citizens. This education, along with Argonath's healthcare system will become free. Workers in Law Enforcement and the Military, as well as mothers and infants will receive special healthcare. The Old Military will be merged with the Imperial Legion, an army that will look after every Imperial Citizen and their needs, not just the rich class, as well as protect them and the Empire from elements that might destabilize its peace. An Imperial Press will be instated which will glorify the achievements of the Argonathian People, as well as inform them of upcoming laws and regulations. There will be complete freedom of religion, however the Imperial State will not be funding any Church organization. The Argonathian Empire will triumph over the dark hand of corruption. Our direction is clear. We will lead the Empire into glories and beyond. |

| Economy: The AIP is aware that the terrible handling of the previous governments has halted the economy to a stop. I believe it's wrong that this is taking its toll on everyday citizens. The taxes put uncohesively and recklessly on everything is NOT a healthy solution towards exiting this financial crisis. Our plan is to lower ALL taxes, except those having to do with luxury goods and services. Property values also seem so high, and that is in big part because of the huge property tax that the state has put on every property. Let's not mention the fact that you have to have a ridiculously big amount of money to buy your first property. We will make the first property license completely free, as well as drastically lower the property tax. Now, you may ask, how do we plan to bring in money to the state? Well, our public sector is draining our economy, so we think it's important to privatize certain aspects of the state. Gas will also be taxed at a 0.75$ per litre. There will also be a higher tax on alcohol , as well as the complete legalization of marijuana. Labor: It is well known that the unemployment rate for Argonath is reaching really concerning percentages (up to 27% at one point). The way to combat unemployment, as well as the poor earnings of businesses is to completely re-work the business system, (we will hopefully be working with Teddy on this one). We'll also set new business types and offer paid state work. =AV=Axis is our Head of Labour. He's a self-made man, so he knows the worker's rights and struggle, as well as an enterpreneur who knows the ins and outs of managing a profitable business, (let's not forget that a state is nothing more than a business, just in larger scale). Immigration: The section ''Immigrants'' is governed by the Immigration Policy of the AIP and it contains a set of policies and laws to be implemented in AIP controlled San Andreas.It'll be illegal for immigrants to marry or have children without first having gained full citizenship. And of course, immigrants won't have the right to vote until they have their citizenship issued to them, as well as won't be able to buy vehicles or any properties. NOTE: Immigrants who do not have their papers issued to them are by no means considered illegal, they just have a limited number of rights, so it should be wise for them to get their citizenship as early as they can. There won't be a set number of time for issuing the citizenship in AIP controlled areas. The immigrants are free to apply even one minute after their arrival on Argonath, however they will be thoroughly tested and examined by the AIP Immigration and Customs Committee. Should the Committee deem them not yet ready to attain their legal documents, they will be free to try again in 24 hours. There will also be a fee of 2500 ARD (which goes to the state) every time the immigrant wishes to be evaluated. So they might want to make sure that they are ready to take the test. Now, as far as supporting the immigrants goes, the AIP will be organizing various common meals throughout Argonath. In addition to that, medicine and clothing will also be handed during those meals and there will be large apartment blocks that will be built to house people. The common meals, medicine, clothing and state apartment complex rooms will be available for free to ANYONE, be it citizens or immigrants. Imperial Legion: The ''Imperial Legion'' is the official AIP paramilitary force. Led by TheGreasyChopper, the IL is organized throughout Argonath into several large formations known as ''Cells''. The command nexus for the entire IL and its stormtroopers operates out of Las Venturas and is known as the Supreme IL Leadership. The IL also has several military training units, the largest of which is the IL Marines, which used to serve as an auxiliary to the Argonath Navy and performed search and rescue missions, as well as harbor defense. A lot of people have been inquiring about Law Enforcement and the Military. Let us clarify because people are making up science fiction scenarios with their minds. It's common knowledge that Argonath is running rampant with a LOT of crime. Kidnappings, pickpocketing, mugging, murders, organized crime. It's high time that the SAPD, FBI and even the Army underwent some reforms. Provided we win, we will have a conference meeting with the leaders of every law enforcement and military organization and work together on how we can make Argonath a safer place. We believe that Argonath is lagging behind other countries which might be considered ''leaders'' in industrial development. We plan on changing that, and make Argonath a leading country in heavy industry. We have a plan to do this (which we will be working closely with Teddy (Theodore Enterprise) and his farming update) to help this. We will introduce sugar beets, turnips and potatoes, thus yielding a higher level of food production that will enable a surplus rural population move to industrial areas. It is well known that the Northern areas (mainly Bone County), are for the most part richer in natural resources than the southern regions. As a result, in the southern regions, being relatively poor in natural resources, its residents engage more in small economical enterprises. Now, let's make an in-depth analysis of our plans for the industrial, agriculture and commercial sectors. Petrol and Coal(Ample reserves in Bone County): The big step we will do towards maximizing output is privatizations. The mines and Octane Springs are run by the state. We believe that they should be privatized. Thus, there will be maximum output, advanced worker conditions, as well as State rewards through taxes and tarriffs on these private businesses. Our goal is to raise the pesky output of 8500 short tons to 280,000. This means that from the 60 current State Workers, we expect a number of 1,400 workers. We also plan on allowing these workers to form Unions and fight for their rights! Let's not forget that the AIP's strong support goes out to the common folk, workers, and we are disappointed that these, and workers in general aren't fighting for their rights the way they should, yet. Banks: One of the first actions we will take, is the opening of private banks. Right now, the only bank that exists is the Bank of Argonath. A terrible mistake, since private loans are given for the most time, it's just all done under the table. The AIP will disallow big loans to be given directly between persons or organizations. Instead, people will have to withdraw and deposit funds in bank accounts, both private and/or State banks. The instatement of Private Banks will open up a whole new world of possibilities and business acumen, as well as boost the overall economy of the server. Class and Welfare state: The AIP has predicted that the Middle Class citizens, especially the ones based in the cities, will grow exponentially within the next months. We will also establish an Association of Argonathian Female Workers (AAFW) to fight for Women's Rights (currently Juliette_Soprano is working on this). Also, paydays will be substituted by welfare. We plan on giving each and every citizen welfare based on his social class. This will be handled by our Labour Department, led by =AV=Axis. Railways: It's really disappointing to see that the railways are not being used at all to handle the various State needs. They only transport passengers, and that is when they decide to operate according to their schedule. Basically, the railroad needs to play a major role. Here's why: 1) It's a means of national defense, it facilitates the concentration, distribution and direction of the Army. 2) It is a means to the improvement of the culture of the nation. It brings talent, knowledge and skill of every kind readily to market. 3) It secures the community against famine, and against excessive fluctuation in the prices of the necessaries of life. 4) It makes the needs of businesses way easier. (Basically we want trains to be able to have a trucking role as well) Agriculture: We will impose tariffs on imported farming produce. That will heavily boost the local Argonathian produce, because it will be tariffless. Also, Our Head of Food and Agriculture (Al_Svensson) will work closely with the Head of Science and Education ([WS]Verz) in order to research new farming technologies to speed up production even more. The Combine Harvester's role will be championed, and the old inefficient methods of farming will be substituted by new technologies, from fertilizers to advanced farming tools. The Svensson family has been involved with this practice since the dawn of the Argonathian Empire, thus their experience on the field will surely yield a great platform for a Greater Argonath. Chemicals: As the AIP will continue to industrialize and urbanize, with heavy industry plays a major role in this, our Head of Science and Education [WS]Verz will research new chemicals in the universities and industrial laboratories. Art, news, broadcasting and sports: Arts, from music to movies and literature are of utmost importance to the AIP. We also want to put an emphasis on events, from speeches to movie nights and Destruction Derbys, as well as various Sport events, because after a hard day's work, a worker deserves some fun. We will also start issuing a monthly newspaper called ''The Imperial Observer'' so people can be updated on all news regarding the party and its actions. [WS]Emmett is our Head of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda Science and Education: It's sad to see that no effort is being put in educating the new generations. We will instate colleges and schools (meanwhile adding a whole new realm of roleplay possibilities). Also, Argonath is running on outdated technology. No, this party supports the strict enforcement of law. That law though isn't compliant with the current law, i.e. the law that makes your group be considered a legitimate Corporation.
