We Are Playing on (Rp Server) So why Non Rp names.Many players on Argo are Playing with Non Rp Names Or Non Rp Names are allowed?

The username doesn't mean his RP name, you can RP as your name is something else but your username is diffrent.

You get rid of all the hassle of "metagaming" with a "non-rp" name. I'd like something like at least NAME instead of FirstName_LastName - but trollingfucker_69 is fine as well :)

Well for example [R*]Drix is known by that alias, but us as officers all know him by Captain King, or Captain Rashid King, your username isn't your RP name.

Yes, you're free to use whatever name your like as long as it does not provoke, offend nor insult in any way.
Yes, we will not ever restrict names to be firstname_lastname because people prefer single names, and its better/more recognizeable for some

Even tho I support the "Firstname_Lastname" thing I also think that we shouldn't be limited in roleplay by having only one roleplay name. Argonath's beauty is that you can roleplay multiple characters rather than sticking to one defined by the name above your head so I guess we can do it okay the way we are.

As already stated in this topic; your display name does not define your roleplay character name.
Nor will we ever force a full on roleplay name as your display name as it will pretty much ruin any group/clan members having their group name/tag in their display name.

I always use the name Kaze. Why? I've established that name over the years that I've played here. Even if I were to join a faction, my name would still be Kaze_Faction. As many have mentioned earlier in this topic, the name above does not matter.
It's the roleplay name the guy chooses and the roleplay quality itself. I'd rather have a quality roleplay experience with ''penis69'' then a shitty ''Pablo_Escobar''

I am a Muslim and to be very honest I don't give a shit if you use Mr. God or whatever username or do whatever you like, it's your life, your rules, no one's supposed to judge anyone in anyway. So yeah, it doesn't matter. Whilst we expect everyone to respect one another religions, you can't expect everything the way you want it.
For example if you have a problem with someone using the word "God" in their name, next a Hindu person will say someone using the word "Cow" in their name is also offensive. It is a never ending cycle of nitpicking over nothing.

Tho I don't support forcing our players with different kind of names to change it into firstname_lastname. There's a huge amount of legendary names that our players been using for years now, and I can only imagine how fucked up it would be toward them, to force them to give up on their names that they made a reputation on.
I'm more into, making it a server trend, policy, that you might, or might not go with.

I do support Firstname_Lastname too. Tags of clans can be as addition by a script in-game(/group script). You log in with firstname_last name, and in game you would have the posibility to do /usegrouptag [groupname]. And when you post something in public chat your name will look like [R*]Firstname_Lastname.
For family tags(_Soprano, _Corleone...) it will be fine to replace Lastname with family tag(as a light RP server). For families with tags like ([MiB]) clan method should be implemented.
Numbers in names should be not allowed. Maybe allowed in tags only.
